Tech Support continues his Midas touch delivering EBM-flecked electro across three original tracks with his debut EP on Nocturne. The London-based, Brighton producer has been making waves following a series of strong releases, recently dropping records on Lobster Theremin, Futureboogie as well as contributing to the popular Nocturne charity compilation "From Belfast with Love II."

The For The Time Being EP kicks off with Tigris - a marriage of industrial eighties drums that wouldn't sound out of place in a NIN track, complimented by a woozy lead, taking us into the witching hour for the late-night heads-down generation.

Eated Soup is Tech Support on playful form, with a low-slung bass driving offbeat drum machine workouts - a cleverly programmed 808 jam that will fit perfectly in sets of DJ's across the board as tongues continue to wag for the slower tempos.

The tension is firmly raised with the third track on the EP - on Box Model, Tech support finds an anchor in cleverly automated bassline squelch, driving the club forward with more than a little help from squealing synths and a more analogue touched lead than the previous offerings. Box Model could find a home across a range of dancefloors, from the intoxicating and intimate through to the more melodic.

Continuing the Nocturne ethos of sidestepping flash-in-the-pan hype artists, Anatolian Weapons steps up to the plate for remix duties, with the Astros Bar resident taking Tigris up a notch into an inebriating peak time exercise for the sweatboxes.

With a relationship with music since forever, passing through different musical projects, Augusto Brasseur AKA Micro.Tron turns fully to this new electronic production project due to the need to look for new ingredients to the infinite compositional opening that it gives him.
Micro.Tron emerged at the beginning of 2019 in search of an even more personal sound, mixing its rhythmic, psychedelic and dark essence with a mix of music styles such as minimal, techno, indie, electro, acid and breaks.

'The indie dance and leftfield techno magicians Radial Gaze join the Urge To Dance family after remarkable releases for labels such as TAU, Feines Tier, Calypso and Eskimo. The leading track, In Each Other, is a multi-layered and infectiously danceable combination of addictive bassline, magical Cameroonian drums, Amazonian percussions and mystical marimbas creating a mysterious and exotic track. Psych Subsidy delivers dirty, energizing and somehow hypnotic emotions. Entrancing sitars loops, long pitched synthesizer and a twisted old lullaby female vocal will get you on board for an amazing psych-trip. The third track, available only digitally, is Magistral 26, a fast-paced, energizing indie dance/leftfield techno gem that delivers aggressive bass, rich Roland TB 303 elements, processed ele ctric guitar samples and distorted synths.

The B-side is where Thomass Jackson and Zombies in Miami deliver their wild and unorthodox remixes of In Each Other. The Thomas Jackson True Love Remix is emotional, hypnotizing and yet so trippy, a true testament of Calypso Records Boss' remixing skills. The second take of the leading track is by Zombies in Miami, a powerful and forward-looking track that blends the hypnotic percussions of the original with a rhythmic bassline and flawless simplicity of all elements used in this remix.'

Italian artist Matisa today reveals details of Tongue, a new four-track EP for Peggy Gou’s Gudu label. The lead single, also titled ‘Tongue’, is out now.

Born in Rome but based in Florence, Matisa has become one of dance music’s most talked-about ascendant talents, releasing music on some of the most critically acclaimed labels on the circuit - including Optimo Music, Steel City Dance Discs, On Loop and Permanent Vacation - with DJs such as Ben UFO, Peach, Shanti Celeste, Eris Drew, Sally C, Mall Grab and more supporting her music.

With four tracks that range from sun-drenched piano house to mid-tempo breaks, with a narrative flow that rewards listening to it as a full EP rather than picking tracks, Tongue showcases Matisa’s full range as an artist - resulting in perhaps her most all-encompassing release yet; a true showcase of what makes her such a special talent.

In Matisa’s own words, “This EP is a musical journey. I wanted each track to represent a stage of this journey, from departure to take-off, peak time and closing. There are many shades of funk in dance music. Berlin’s Toy Tonics label brings up artists that reflect many of these different aspects of dance music. Now the label comes up with a band! A band that is inspired by 1980ies New Wave as well as the Y2K Indie dance scene. Two guys and two girls from Amsterdam and Montreal called Baby’s Berserk.
Baby’s Berserk is about taking the freedom to be who you want to be, about being comfortable. Having played in all-girl punk bands since the age of 14, the bands singer Lieselot is an expert on female empowerment. “Dress like a girl and act like a boy,” is a catchphrase she lives up to every day and it clearly is a message that resonates with the band’s wild fans.
In the great tradition of Roxy Music, Throbbing Gristle and Malcolm McLaren, Baby’s Berserk is not just about the edgy music but also about a very strong own visual style. They readily blend their sounds with underground fashion. What you see is what you get and seeing Baby’s Berserk is feeling right at home. Lieselot is a visionary when it comes to stage presence. Have you always wanted to see an electronic band with a punk attitude perform wearing a mix of haute couture and Flintstone-style rags? Look no further, it’s Baby’s Berserk.
Following on the critically acclaimed singles ‘What I Mean’ (2020) and ‘Toxic Kisses’ (2022), Baby Berserk’s highly anticipated self-titled full-length is now finally about to see the light on Berlin’s Toy Tonics records. Sonically designed for gritty rock venues as well as up-to-date edgy dance clubs, Mano’s lush compositions smoothly intertwine with the highly associative lyrics written by Puggy and Lieselot. Poets and literary addicts may think they’ve just discovered the rock & roll equivalents of Sylvia Plath, Kurt Vonnegut and Allen Ginsberg. To tell you the truth: their wild guess is pretty accurate as the works by these greats lie scattered around the Baby’s Berserk studio for inspiration.
The band was born in a laboratory back in 2019. Tired of being in bands with unruly and unpredictable humans, Mano Hollestelle set out to create a group of high precision robots to create the post-punk sound he had in mind. His outdated technology of floppy disks and cassette tapes worked well to program the androids, until one day a 90s rave mixtape was mistakenly entered into his computer. House music is a feeling and the punk bots instantly got hooked on it upon hearing it for the first time. They could never be reset to factory settings again. Mano worked tirelessly with his androids, currently known by their humanoid names of Lieselot Elzinga, Puggy Beales and Eva Wijnbergen, to fulfill his evil plan to make the rockers dance and the dancers rock. Baby’s Berserk is the fiendish extension of this plot. Beware, the band’s bass driven grooves and computerized beats have been known to cast a spell upon all within earshot.
So what do the songs on ‘Baby’s Berserk’ tell you? That it’s totally fine to have lots of fun in life! To have a boyfriend as an accessory (‘Accessories’), to get inspired by Sponge Bob (‘Dancing with the Fish’) and to blend your spirits with mixers whenever the hell you feel like it (‘Rum ‘n’ Kola’).

‘Building Up’ by Enduro Disco is built on a solid foundation of nu disco texture but with a chunkier house edge.
On ‘High Energy’ by Mexican producer Levantine, distorted kicks suck at a tense synth arpeggio while in the distance a dramatic melody plays amidst a church-like reverb.
Barcelona’s Baldo revisits the gorgeously colorful ‘Dream Of You’ from Istanbul’s rising talent Zeynep Erbay, taking it on one hell of a trip.
NEAT’s ‘DYR’ is a beautiful, delicate, unhurried gem of a track, dripping in sensuality. Shimmering percussion and delayed claps lay a foundation atop sorrowful sustained organ-esque pads.
‘Fantasia’ by Kadosh builds slowly through a dramatic minor key bass line and shimmering metallic fuzz to suddenly explode into life with a stunning, sorrowful main riff that rocks a distorted 8-bit electro vibe.
Madrid duo Depaart rock the slick, acidic cut ’And You’ with a real air of sophistication about it.
Studio Barnhus affiliates Måns Glaeser (from swedish Off The Meds) and Basement Space team up for ‘Hollywood Cole’ - a cute breakbeat track peppered with old skool rap & diva vocals, shimmering electric piano chords and a thick, undulating bassline.
Marvin & Guy up the tempo for Joyce Muniz & Theus Mago’s track ’Balin Bali’ to a pacey house bounce and lay on some gentle electro textures.
London duo Make A Dance go deeper on their rework for Budakid’s ‘Milestones’, building through gated snips of the vocal, pulsing pads, Latin snare patterns and subtle bleep riffs and delays to reach a heady, hypnotic place.
Fabrizio Mammarella does the damage on his version of ‘Nechama’ by Sandhog, teasing us slowly with ticking techno percussion that ebbs and flows, he gradually reveals the synth chords amidst giant snare hits and pulsing cymbal rides.
Atlanta-based Sejva closes the compilation with ‘We Only Want To Be Bad’, flexing Hi-NRG muscle with its off-beat bassline, snazzy melodies and campy vocals. A masterclass in retro revivalism.
All in all this is a great eclectic dance compilation.

“The energy that fuels BABY DISCO emanates from the passion and excitement of my audience. It is this very energy that drives me to create and perform. Within each of us lies a powerful force that ignites when we engage in our passions. For me, that force is awakened when I am behind the booth, observing my audience move and groove to the beat of my music. BABY DISCO seeks to ignite that same energy in all who listen to it.”

Both emotionally charged and calling back to the late 90s era, BABY is a catchy and club-ready jam with eurodance feeling, while DISCO is a blissful piano house banger, perfectly fitted for radiant and joyful dances.

We’re really pleased to have @chloerobinsondj & @djadhdgotbngrz bringing the sound of London to this EP. Following acclaimed collab EPs and explosives mixes blending techno, electro, grime and UK garage, the impeccable pair got their hands on BABY and delivered a bass-heavy, incredibly infectious club banger.

And to wrap things up, Melbourne selector, producer, remixer and rising star @aldonna brings her always thrilling groove to DISCO, flawlessly throwing balearic heat, prog house euphoria, and touches of acid-trance to the mix.
