Mainstays on the house scene, Berlin/Hamburg boys Florian & Nils from Kruse & Nuernberg have been playing integral roles in the dance world for some time now, so it was right about time for us to sign them on Exploited.

Kruse & Nuernberg are known for tastefully selected house cuts. Their collaboration, ‘Yokohama Nights’, with British songwriter Brolin and his cashmere-soft vocals was proof for us these guys have taste and knowledge a plenty.

With ’The Next Chapter’ Kruse & Nuernberg start a new chapter: Less House - still a lot of Soul but more on a Techno influenced groove pattern.

’The Next Chapter’ is pure peaktime business, stripped down to simplicity and effectivity on the dancefloor.

’The Next Chapter’ is the pair's second release on the Berlin-based imprint Exploited Records. "We've known Shir Khan, the label's boss, for years. We love the sound of his label," says Kruse. "The great thing about Exploited is that you can't really say what's coming next because every single release is surprising and the variations in style and genre are diverse. Exploited consistently aims to produce quality music. That's a great approach for a collective and the reason why we're proud to be a part of the team." (Thump)

Laurent Garnier might have been doing his thing for about 30 years - a very good thing at that - but he's showing no signs of stepping back anytime soon. 

The French techno maestro spent last year touring Europe and North America, whether that be playing Coachella festival in California or the now-closed Trouw in Amsterdam, as well as finding time to release on Hypercolour, MCDE and Berlin-based 50 Weapons. 

His release on Hypercolour included Enchanté, a beaming, click-clacking techno cut that's about to be released again as part of his forthcoming album, 'Home', on F Communications.

Italian-born Pirupa makes his debut on the Crosstown Rebels sub-label Rebellion with ‘Cristallo’, while Maher Daniel supplies the remix.

“This is a special EP for me. ‘Cristallo’ is very significant to me, I made it in 2014 while inspired by my stay in Ibiza last August and the magic of the island, with its hot and sexy sounds; while ‘Save a Prayer’ was created more recently in April, inspired by my last tour in the US where lots of particular things have happened. I am very happy with the work done and especially to debut on a label very important to me from an artist like Damian Lazarus, who I respect and have respected for over 10 years, since I started as a DJ and producer”. The opening track ‘Cristallo’ immediately transports you to the White Isle, with its steel drums bringing the rhythm, an infectious beat, and a breakdown to cause chaos. The final track 'Save A Prayer’ is a siren to the dancefloor, with a gnawing beat and a drop that proves why Pirupa is supported by so many.

Really touched by all the support we've been receiving from everyone and so, so appreciative of it all. It's only been a short time we've been writing this story together but just the fact that doing the music we feel in our hearts manages to connect with so many other people is gratifying beyond words.
While this is certainly only the end of a chapter and the beginning of a much longer story, it's important for us to take a moment and take note of the things that matter. Beyond polls and numbers (which are transitory as all in life is) it's the downright love we've felt from so many that has truly left a lasting mark on us both.
So as a little token of thanks we're offering a free download of our unreleased Straight To Your Head remix which many people have been asking us about this past year.
It feels like a nice way to close this chapter as we begin to start the next.
