Are you ready for a new chapter of „Radius" ? What started in August of 2k19 as a first four track EP to showcase the vast variety of talent prevalent in the electronic music scene is now to be continued with „Radius Vol. 2" - a sequel and a state of the art overview for this season featuring tracks by Upon You Records creative mastermind Marco Resmann as well as Helmut Dubnitzky & Jackspot, Martin Tanner and Cipy Althoff which are all serving big time with their contributions to this series.

Following up is the collaborational pairing of Helmut Dubnitzky & Jackspot, a duo immersing in a subdued, mystical grey area located right in between TechHouse and (Neo)Trance with „This" which is defined by a time defying late night vibe, expertly cut sample wizardry and caressingly tender melodic buildups.

Welcome back, Mr. Markus Homm! After his acclaimed Hive Audio label debut dubbed the „My Lead EP“ the Berlin-based Romanian with a more than a decade spanning release history is making a return with his new four track piece – the „Amour Fou EP“.

Going in head over heels with the title cut „Amour Fou“ it is pretty obvious why Markus Homm's musical vision has become a staple on dancefloors worldwide – and this track is no exception to the norm. Take a pounding Tech foundation, sharp, distinct hi-hats and a blurred out, melodic, yet mystical atmosphere featuring several intertwined harmonic layers, stir the mix expertly in the studio and you'll end up with a timeless dancefloor tool that's about to resonate with punters and DJ's from a wide range of sub- and microgenres within the wide spectrum of dancefloor-focused electronic music.

In for a remix is Swiss producer duo Animal Trainer who is taking on „Amour Four“ in his revamp version, slowing down the tempo to create a highly seductive groove monster which goes even deeper with its well percussive attitude and somewhat Arab / Oriental / Balearic plucked string motif alongside twisted, warped non-vocalisms and a large scale, drum roll driven breakdown paving the way for the playful, yet pretty psychedelic main part which is about to stand out in every open air festival set ever for a reason.

Furthermore „Pamona“ sees Markus Homm on a stomping, stripped down House tip, fusing minimalist percussions with an ever rolling low end groove alongside deep and sexy, steadily morphing pads evoking memories both of Motor City Detroit as well as floating early 90s Intelligent Techno and therefore falling together nicely to create a positive playful cut for the wee hours in intimate electronic music settings.

Finally „Touch“ weighs in a solid, highly captivating TechHouse vibe, once again rolling out a hefty low-end groove paired with classic, precisely sculpted stabs, Trance-infused build-ups, more atmospheric synth mysticism and an overall timelessness that is innate to Markus Homm's trademark  production style.

The first pack of exclusives from Hyenah’s anticipated Watergate 27 compilation has landed.

The enigmatic DJ/producer has established himself as one of the most exciting newer acts associated with Watergate, releasing on the club’s home label, Freerange and Objektivity in recent years. He’s also most notably spearheaded the RISE monthly club night and associated Rise Music imprint, as a passionate proponent of the Afro house scene in Berlin, while building an ever-growing fanbase off the back of his lauded Boiler Room last summer.  His contribution to the storied Watergate mix series is certainly richly deserved.  

‘The Message’ EP exhibits Hyenah’s irresistibly warm and groovy sound across a collection of impressions. The title track features former Bonobo collaborator Bajka on vocals and is a composition brimming with soul that espouses a message of empowerment, underpinned by hip-swaying percussion and uplifting synth stabs. Henrik Schwarz delivers a pair of classy remixes. The first, re-focuses the track’s energy around a funky undulating synthline that builds towards an intriguing finish. The Dub version may have stripped out the vocal, but in trademark Schwarz style, the remaining instrumental is high soaring musical drama. Hyenah links with fellow RISE founder Floyd Lavine for ‘Soul Rise’, a superb Afro groover that’s intricate and colourful in equal doses and a timely reminder of why there’s so much excitement surrounding the talented pair. ‘Warm Drum’ is simple, yet extremely effective, as a catchy key pattern loops with intensity before punchy bass drops into focus and brings the party. 

Hyenah close out the EP alongside vocalist Lazarusman with ‘Not Enough’, a hymn to anti-racism, that’s not only vital in its message, but stirring with its musical impact.

Dutch duo Tunnelvisions strip things back with a hypnotic bassline on Budakid’s WALKMAN Remix.
Gerd Janson dips ZEUS by the wonderfully wordly Swiss collective Sirens Of Lesbos into his cauldron of ‘80s Italo disco synth wizardry (licensed via Sirens Of Lesbos).
Panthera Krause transforms THE AMERICAN by french artists O.N.O &  Jabberwocky into a high-enery, italy-disco dancefloor weapon. 
Biesmans pushes the button marked ‘Full Italo’ and sets the feel-good dial to ‘11’ on his spunky remix of CIAO by Enduro Disco, pitching wiggling bass arpeggios against triumphant chords, deft ‘80s drums and spine-tingling melody. 
Osunlade’s Yoruba Soul mix of HIGH TOWER by James Curd is typically classy, stripping things back down to a soulful lilt with shimmering synth arps and tumbling bongos decking out a succinct, warm, beautiful arrangement.
Enduro Disco’s LUV ME MORE balances tumbling percussive elements with a sexy bass throb and a bouncing, delicate synth line to beautiful effect.
Original Panoramabar resident, Robert Johnson and Permanent Vacation recording artist Masssimilano Pagliara provides a masterful rework of STREET VIOLENCE by swedish artist NEAT, cooking up a flurry of melodic beauty.
French dance music royalty Yuksek amps up the bass funk on his remix of MODERN DANCE by O.N.O, slides in some gentle acid tones and generally pumps the whole thing up. 
GOOD TIMES ROLL by dutch duo T.U.R.F. builds a foundation of chunky beats around some sweet jazz-funk vibes, with dashes of sax and clavinet interpersing the piledriver bassline.
IT IS U by NEAT echoes the deepest of classic progressive house with its plaintive feel, building through bobbing arpeggios and crystalline chimes while a chugging Italo disco-esque groove pushes it forward.   
TRY A LITTLE HARDER by Enduro Disco rocks a spacey disco groove where descending, detuned bass notes tumble over delayed string hits and hypnotic motifs.
GET READY by Phonk D teases with warped piano before unleashing a loose funk b-line and dubby vocal snippets.
DANCING IN HONG KONG by Romain FX provides a madcap end to the EP, a cute little ‘80s electro-funk jam where jaunty keys, organ bass and a little city pop vibe rub up against each other.
All in all this is a great eclectic dance compilation by one of the top deephouse labels out there. Too bad you could not enjoy the music in the club.
