We saw Mickey, as a newcomer, growing on the label Exploited. His releases 'Sweet Baby', 'Holding Hands' and 'Walk Away' are topping our label's bestsellers of the year 2014. His track 'Sweet Baby' was among the Top 10 best selling tracks at Beatport in the genre Deephouse. Next to his Belgian residency at the infamous 'Libertine Supersport' nights, he travels all over the world to rock the crowd with his energetic DJ sets.

He just finished a remix for Australian 'Modular Label‘ stars 'Bag Raiders' and is currently in London working on his next single.

Futureboogie Recordings is on a roll and with it comes the ‘Summer Riot EP’, a collection of lush, deep cuts of the house persuasion from three of the label’s hot discoveries, Coat Of Arms, Lukas and Behling.

Bristol has long been a hot bed of talent for alternative music but it is only recently that the city has begun to really plant itself on the house and disco map and this is in no small sense down to the house of Futureboogie and its brethren. Having earned their stripes in A&amp;R through 
running stages at major festivals like Glastonbury and Big Chill plus an agency of artists ranging from Crazy P to Maxxi Soundsystem that defy the South-West drizzle with their cosmic electronic wizardry, these guys have the fresh blood flocking to their infant label. Although, you get the 
sense they all went to school together or at least share the same local. 

First up on the ‘Summer Riot EP’ is Bristol/Birmingham duo Eats Everything and Chris James aka Coat Of Arms. The bumping, spacious house grooves of ‘This Is Something’, a warm blend of big 
bass, Detroit-esqe synth stabs and deep, soulful vocals is a sexy dancefloor burner. A relatively new partnership, Coat Of Arms have had props from heavyweights Claude Von Stroke, Justin Martin and Catz n Dogz and have another forthcoming release on Pet Recordings. 

Lukas is back from remixing duty for Christophe to display his production flair with ‘A Bigger Splash’. Where Coat Of Arms brought the heat, Lukas brings the breeze with swaying grooves and jazzy flourishes. Tender vocal snippets float amid soaring synths, melodic keys and a deep 
funk bassline. A Bristol based DJ and promoter, Luke Turner aka Lukas is at the helm of the city’s Buoyancy and Alfresco Disco events and has previously released material on Dirtcrew’s sublabel Player’s Paradise. 

Winding down this mood trio is Behling with the mellow sun-kissed, swinging grooves of ‘Without You’. Laid back disco leanings with hints of Latin funk, the tropical drums and irresistible brass section are enough to soothe the most melancholy soul. As one half of Bristol based house duo 
Behling &amp; Simpson, the young producer already has over 100 releases and 5 years of international DJing under his belt and with his solo work hecontinues to cruise the galaxy in slo- mo. 

With Futureboogie, It’s the sense of community that lends itself to the growing consistency of their output. As diverse as this may be, the label is fast becoming synonymous with colourful, homegrown sonic sunshine.

Brazilian-born Joyce Muniz immersed herself in the world of electronic music after moving to Austria at the age of 12. By the age of 16, she purchased her first 1212s and became one of Vienna’s youngest DJs. When the raw and pulsating sounds of Brazilian dance music baile funk infiltrated European house and techno, Muniz connected with her origins by providing vocals for Viennese producer Stereotyp. Solidifying her stance as a multitalented artist and MC, Muniz satisfied her craving to produce by diving deep into house music, carving out her own niche through a smooth-yet-funky sound often complimented by sultry vocals and thumping basslines. 

’An early coup for Exploited was 2011's 'Morning Love', Muniz's collaboration with Louie Austen. An old school Viennese crooner who'd worked alongside the rat pack in Las Vegas, he'd risen to prominence again after the turn of the millennium, alongside the likes of Peaches and Gonzalez, on the crest of electroclash. With his lived-in vocals riding a spacey house groove punctuated by snippets of breakbeats, Austen was so impressed with Muniz that he asked her to produce his next album.

This mutual respect was to arise again in the shape of Maya Jane Coles, who helped get Muniz's music into the hands of 20:20 Vision, so far resulting in two Eps. Then Richie Hawtin got hold of an unreleased track and played it on his Ibiza Boiler Room. “I really was wondering how Richie Hawtin got it!” Joyce said. Still, got it he had, leaving just the clearance of its Kraftwerk sample from 'It's More Fun to Compute' and the addition of a vocal by ex-Jungle Brother Bam, for the modern day hip-house of 'Back in the Days' to become a hit for Exploited last year.’ (DJMag) Not to forget her collaboration track ’Warriors’ with Bpitch longstay Kiki or her recent remix of Traffic Signs aka Steve Bug and Jake the Rapper’s ’Cookie Jar’.

Her next release ’You Always Get Me High’ will drop on Exploited in May.

Superlover gets everything in order for his next outing on Mother Recordings, which is essentially a pair of sun-bathed productions perfect for the season’s proceedings. The flipside is where it’s at, with “Dancin” showing the German groove authority firing up the funk to an unholy degree. Playful yet powerful, the tune turns out a rhythm with so much swing in its structure you can’t help but move along with it.

It’s one of our favorite things at LAMP when we get tracks like this sent to us. From the opening bars you get the sense that there’s a really catchy groove building up. Hip shaking drum layers and crisp shoulder shaking percussive layers will draw you to the dance floor. Disco strings slowly build into the foreground as a funky guitar strums along to the beat. A sensual, irresistible vocal beckons you to join in on the fun and things really kick off after the first build up with a bouncy bass line groove to seal the deal. 

Canadian native Famba has been on a steady grind putting out some impressive tracks; remixes and originals alike. His sounds have garnered the attention of labels like Armada Deep, UMG and Swerve Digital as well as notable tastemaker channels like Bodhi Collective. With less than a year of official work coming out of this project there’s definitely a sense that something big is brewing up in Nova Scotia and that Famba’s name will be a name you’ll hear much more often in 2017.
