Label favourite Modular Project follow the success of their 'It's Time' EP and step in with an energetic, rig-ready tool built with festival floors in mind.

'You Know What I Mean' rolls out a springy break that remains tethered to a 4/4 kick and sub combo that immediately sets a hands-in-the-air tone. Progress marches on while a sprightly vocal comes in and at this point the mood is certifiably dialled.

What follows is a build-up that sits the track comfortably in a big room space as 909 hats work to maintain a sense of urgency while vocals are stretched and mangled and a caustic 303 nips and snarls away.

The track then builds sequential bridges between the next drop, each landing with a pupil-widening splash.

DJ Tennis and Red Axes join forces again as Redrago, delivering a hypnotic, floor-filling cut that blurs again the boundaries of their genre-defying sounds, auto-defined as “ falafel disco mixed with a 1/4 of spaghetti sauce.”
The trio met at a festival in Corsica, introduced by Pachanga Boys. "Their faces, their expressions, and their attitude—gentle, smart, loving, and funny—impressed me at first sight," Tennis recalls. That initial meeting was many years ago, but their personal and musical bond has only grown stronger when they decided to merge their shared passion for psychedelic sounds and Mediterranean influences, leading to numerous recording sessions together. 
Out on February 28, this release showcases the creative chemistry between DJ Tennis and the Israeli duo, melding their signature styles into a psychedelic journey that’s destined to light up dance floors everywhere. Clubland is filled with duos, sometimes they grew up sharing bunk beds, sometimes they met on a dancefloor, or sometimes -as with Lord Fascinator & Kate Stein- they met on a tropical island after one had commissioned the other to create several giant monsters for a music video. 

Fast forward through ten years of costumes, chemicals, religious art projects and "Mad Max yoga retreats", they have finally cemented their relationship in the studio with their Primary EP, 4 tracks of psychedelic synth-pop, cowboy disco and cosmically inclined iridescent electronica.   

First up is country touched club banger Horse House, a track that combines a galloping hypnotic house beat and pulsating synths with all manner of Morricone'esque whistles, lonesome guitar twangs, equine snorts and, of course, the repeated chant that "there's a horse in this house". 

The track may have started life as a joke but its effect on dancefloors has been anything but and Horse House joins the select ranks of other fine western themed classics that have curiously littered the history of club music.

Brazilian producer Niev debuts on Mexican imprint Duro Label with a three-track EP exploring the depths of acid house.

Duro Label proudly announces the release of "Mariokarlos EP," the latest production from Brazilian artist Niev, an emerging force in the electronic scene from Ribeirão Preto who has been making waves in experimental music since 2020.

The EP, consisting of three original tracks, represents a deep dive into acid house territory while maintaining Niev's characteristic essence of blending electronic elements with Brazilian influences. The EP includes the title track "Mariokarlos," followed by "Ciao (Stripped Mix)" and "Wannabe," each exploring different nuances within the genre.

Niev, known for his work with Radio Vitrine and The Last Baba Disco Studios, brings to this release his distinctive musical perspective, shaped between 80's nostalgia and contemporary influences from Russian and Middle Eastern music. His ability to weave traditional and cutting-edge elements is reflected in each of the EP's cuts.

"Mariokarlos EP" marks Niev's debut on Duro Label, solidifying the Mexican imprint's presence in the international house music scene and reinforcing its commitment to innovative sounds and bold proposals.

The EP will be available across all digital platforms from March 7th, 2025.

Zurich-born, New York-based DJ Tony y Not is best known for her free-spirited sets, seamlessly weaving together techy acid, progressive, dark disco, and heart-opening indie. She brings that signature energy to her Kompakt debut with striking precision. Mexican producer Theus Mago kicks off the journey toward his new album 'MUN/SEA' with the release of 'The F-Train', a collaborative single with Berlin-based artist Moderna. Out May 16th via Amsterdam’s DGTL imprint, the track is a dark, propulsive ride through late-night electro and shadowy synth-wave textures.
