The supreme Tim Engelhardt returns to Watergate Records, following his outstanding 2021 ‘Prophecy’ EP. 
 
The prodigious producer and DJ from Cologne has stamped himself as one of the most exciting new artists to emerge in Germany’s electronic circles in recent years; from dropping a debut album on Steve Bug’s Pokeflat at just 17-years-old, to crafting stellar releases for labels including Innervisions, Cityfox, Stil Vor Talent and of course Watergate. Recently he’s linked with Emmanuel Satie, Maga and Sean Doron to begin Scenarios, a collective that sees the artists pool their creative talents and energy to form a record label and event series that’s set for their debut showcase at fabric this summer.  
 
His first release on the Watergate imprint in two years reinforces his compositional flair, crafting transcendental productions that often function as much as songs, as they do punchy dancefloor affairs. ‘In Circles’ is a soaring delight, highlighted by the vocals of Jordan Arts, as ascendent pads and a squelchy mid-section make the track pop. ‘High Places’ is a shimmering, emotion-charged delight, driven by lush chord and sparse drum programming. Sublime! ‘Proof of Energy’ is patient and dramatic in equal doses, a grandiose production that strips itself down to a singular contorted synth line, before kicking back into to maximal effect. Masterful.

Get Physical Music's Classic Series reissues M.A.N.D.Y's 2002 single 'Put Put Put'. A new remix by Greta Levska complete the package. 

Get Physical Music co-founders and European house music cornerstones M.A.N.D.Y. kicked off their label back in 2002 with one of their many enduring classics. The brotherly pair went on to dominate the underground landscape with their dark and edgy take on house both as DJs and producers. Always leading from the front, they put out key mixes on the label as well as for the likes of fabric and Patrick Bodmer continues this journey. Revisiting this track now, which has been newly remastered, it's clear to see M.A.N.D.Y. would always go on to big things.

Still standout original 'Put Put Put' is a timeless take on house music with a crisp broken beat and warped bassline. Chopped vocals highlight the subtle funk in the grooves, and daubs of melodic colour add a sense of soul.

Remixer Greta Levska is a new school Get Physical Music associate who has landed in solo and collaborative mode and recently mixed up the label's Ibiza-focussed compilation. She is a regular on the White Isle at places like Amnesia Presents with Danny Howard and Gorgon City, and plays at Pyramid and Do Not Sleep. Her take is a fresh mix of house and tech with deft melodic touches and raw synths that bring both light and dark. The drums are punchy and tinged with electro energy to ensure plenty of impact in the club.

When We Dip XYZ presents the ‘Swim In Memories' EP from producers Presia and Roo. Presia has released on respected imprints such as Isolate, microCastle & Moodmusic, crafting high-quality cuts under his very own ‘Grunge House' sub-genre. Roo stormed the scene recently with a collaboration on Samer Soltan's Sanctuary Music, which was remixed by Marcus Worgull. He's also brought some of the most interesting artists in the scene to his hometown of Amman, Jordan, under the Vudu and U Roof brands.

On the eponymous ‘Swim In Memories', subtle chords match the soothing vocals from Presia speaking of healing one's soul through calming the mind. The arp and horn-like pluck rise in intensity as they lead the way through the electronic ballad.

‘Cut' showcases a sharp jump in energy as ethereal vocal chops and the ‘Cut' ad-lib rest on a sharp snare and bulky kick. The table is set for Presia who delivers a spirited guitar solo straight from the hip.

‘Until It Breaks' conveys a melancholic feel as the breakbeat groove and saturated bass is complemented by the evolving pads, arps and textures.

On the final track, the post-rock induced ‘Guelai', a robotic voice narrates its poetry through the industrial textures, watery glitches and risers.

Brazillian-born Daniela Caldellas returns to Hotflush Recordings with ‘Misantropicalia’, a three track EP, with each one showing different facets of her influences, further enriching her identity as TERR.

Picking up where last April’s ‘Burn The Past’ EP left off, TERR continues to develop what is becoming her retro-futurist signature. The unmistakable footprint of electro, as well as a palpable nostalgia for the early ‘80s, is present throughout. The title track perhaps even betrays a whiff of italo or hi-NRG with its Moroder-esque bass and silky guitar licks, before moving into pure body-popping, linoleum dancefloor territory on the B-side. OutRun is an invitation to do the robot worm best heard on a portable ghetto blaster, while Don’t Look Around rounds off the 12” in galvanising style with hints of electroclash in fractured, fleeting vocals and beats of the fat
variety. 

‘Misantropicalia’ shows TERR with her influences on her sleeve, and hergaze fixed firmly forwards.
