Fresh off the back of her recent DJ Kicks compilation release and an EP for Shall Not Fade in 2021, Cinthie returns to Will Saul’s Aus imprint for her first EP release of 2022, once again delivering her raw, energetic House sound to the world. Title-cut ‘Light A Fire’ leads the way and lays down organic drums, hypnotic vocal lines and choppy stab sequences alongside bumpy bass tones, intricately unfolding synth swells, resonant bleeps, and dynamic delays, resulting in a big sun-drenched anthem to perfectly set the tone. ‘Keeping Strong’ follows next and employs classic House tropes via gritty string stabs, plucked bass notes and dubbed out vocal cuts, running atop skippy, swinging drums for six and a half minutes. ‘Everything’ then rounds out the release, diving deeper this time as Cinthie employs dubbed out chords, weighty subs, crunchy percussion, and cinematic, elongated strings swells, concluding the release with a smooth, emotive feel.

In love with Jazz and everything it gave birth to, Paul Cut seeks to maintain a long-standing tradition by merging it with House music. Whether by sampling tracks in the studio or playing keyboards on stage, his sole purpose is the Groove.
Paul Cut had his two very first releases on parisian labels : The Joy EP with Ondulé Recordings, held by Joss Moog and Around7, and Serious Intentions EP as keyboardist for the D.ko Records' live band, Secret Value Orchestra.
Popcorn began its vinyl releases four years ago with dj and producer Lowris. New comer at that time, he has since then become famous resident of Concrete Paris Parties and a recognized producer. It is therefore naturally that the 10 th release will be devoted to a newcomer, the young and talented Paul Cut and his Basement Jam EP.

It's not often you find high-quality house music emerging Asturias in the North-West of Spain. This picturesque, rugged region seems like it provide some contemplative inspiration for Paul Rudder, label boss of Poetry In Motion, who excels in making chunky house music with dreamy motifs, samples and textures. On this new release for Exploited, he has come up trumps with a massive feel-good anthem on a 90s house tip that indulges his occasionally more intense side.

Pummelling kicks and skippy hi-hats are the engine of the track, while the main star is a huge piano chord motif with a spring in its step. Filtering up in tandem with a parallel bassline and diva vocal cuts, these glorious keys drive the forward in perpetual motion. Graceful pad swirls drift in and out to add to the heavenly reverb on the pianos. A huge, pitch-shifting snare-roll and reverb drenched build provide the theatrical fireworks that elevate the track into another gear, and more deliciously spine-tingling pad layers heighten the lush feel further. Cymbal crashes and vocal stabs add more drama, and a genuine fist-pumper is the outcome.

Paul Rudder was responsible for the recent sublime Black Jukebox #27 EP, as well as other releases on Peppermint Jam, Roots In Bloom, Flat White and his own label Poetry In Motion.
