Since Richie Hawtin played this track in his Boiler Room Set on Ibiza, many people have been asking about this Joyce Muniz collab. The track features fresh vocals by Bam (formerly known as MC Baby Bam) from the legendary 90ies hip-hop group The Jungle Bothers (Native Tongues/Zulu Nation). The beat is based around a sample from Kraftwerk's 'It's More Fun To Compute,' and for this version we've actually got full approval from Kraftwerk (yes - guess what). So we're happy to release it now. Hope you dig it too.

"Claptone is a man of mystery. Of course there are countless anonymous DJs hiding behind everything from angry-face cardboard boxes to giant cassette tapes. But Claptone takes the enigma game to the next level—not only does he flit around in a gold, pointy bird mask straight out of G-Force: Guardians of Space, he also claims to embed an entire "universe of secrets" into his sounds. Not sure what that means... maybe spectogram images a la Aphex Twin? Also, in an interview from earlier last year, he said certifiably batshit stuff like, “Over the years I’ve learned to affect every being on earth and to synchronize the noises and sounds (they produce). With my magic wand I now bring to life a universal orchestra and direct the world’s unique soundtrack.” Which is… awesome?" (Vice Thump)

Actually, we think it’d be pretty chill if he took the reigns on the “the world’s unique soundtrack” and made it sound a little more like this velvety, floor-shaking, party-starting, spooky, hypnotic house track GHOST he delivered us on the back of a singing Alec Ounsworth from Indie Rock Band CLAP YOUR HANDS SAY YEAH.

Love or hate his infamous 'Twitter beefs' there is no denying the legendary status of this house music vanguard. With 20+ years of DJing and producing under his belt, this is DJ Sneak's first release on Exploited: A collaboration with Murk (Oscar G and Ralph Falcon). 
Back in 2003 Murk released 'Dark Beat' - a track that topped the Billboard Dance charts and became the underground smash of the year. 

So how did this all happen.. 
A few months ago we asked Sneak for a remix by mail but we didn't get a reply. After 4 months he suddenly popped up in our mailbox, apologized and said that he finally had some studio time. In the end he sent through some tracks to see if we like them. The rest is history as youre probably listening to one of the tracks right now. 

This quirky and funky house track (a 10 minute journey) is only the tip of the ice berg though. Expect 2 Releases from Sneak on Exploited.

As an adolescent, he dreamt of playing in a rock group, but also discovered Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, Front 242 and Detroit techno. After having created his own studio and put together a few mixes on a Roland Compuphonic synthesiser (yes, that’s where the name comes from...), Maxime aka Compuphonic soon found himself behind the decks at Dirty Dancing nights in Brussels and recorded his first tracks for Dirty Dancing Recordings. In 2006, his reputation exploded on the dance floor with the groovy "Emotion", produced in collaboration with Tiga and released on his label ‘Turbo’. In 2012 he released his highly anticipated "Sunset" Single on Get Physical - a piece of hedonistic house that is entirely characteristic of his style.

"We are the music that we create” once said Maxime Firket aka Compuphonic who is now another fine Belgian addition to the Exploited roster.

He brings his spontaneous, positive and accessible sound to the label. With this Radio Atlantis EP he continues his search for originality and emotion. The overall atmosphere is filled with the good kind of melancholia everyone likes to feel once in a while.

„Radio Atlantis”, the title track, starts with organ like sounds that are accompanied by a witty bassline, unique vocals and even some acid influenced pads.

„Walking On The Edge”, with the same relaxed vibe as his megahit „Sunset” on Get Physical, is different from Radio Atlantis but at the same time also the perfect match. The storytelling vocal leads you through the track and its extraordinary simplicity.

To top off all of this you can expect some more music from Compuphonic on Exploited. We’re looking forward already, you hopefully too.

These days, it's rare to find talented producers who are also world class DJs. Often a Beatport No.1 can result in an artist getting booked for gigs they're not quite ready for. But for Round Table Knights, there's no such problem. Starting their love affair with turntablism over a decade ago, Biru Bee and Marc Hofweber honed their skills cutting and scratching together hip hop, jazz and early electro.

An infatuation with house music followed: it was the one genre they felt they could handle their diverse tastes. And so with the help of producer and friend Benfay, they started to release high-caliber 4/4 infused with a huge range of influences. The tracks became essential tunes in the record bags of the globe's best house DJs (their Coma Cat remix was voted the Essential Tune of 2010 by Pete Tong) and led to years of gigs at the world's best clubs and festivals: Panorama Bar, Sonar, Igloofest, Creamfields...you know the score.

Original, musical, cheeky jackin' house music made by producers who know how to DJ properly? All qualities championed by Made To Play Records, a label that subsequently released their debut album 'Say What?!' and a series of unmissable EPs.

In 2011 & 2012, the duo won the Swiss Nightlife Award for the Best Electronica DJs category. A great accolade indeed, but it's the thousands of worldwide fans getting down to their unique sound that's proof of how Biru Bee and Marc are the act to book if you want your club night to be in safe hands.

Now as part of one of house music's most exciting labels and their very own Club Bonsoir and with the total package when it comes to both DJ and production skills, the stage is set for Round Table Knights to take their rightful place at the head of the house scene.

DJs, producers, selectors & club owners — all those terms pertain to Round Table Knights, the eclectic and highly skilled duo of Biru Bee and Hove. Debuting in 2002, they spent the next few years building their name with a series of prodigious DJ-Sets. It was in the second half of the decade tho, that a couple of esteemed releases — especially the monumental track Calypso — and the highly appreciated full-length album ‘Say What?!’ took the pair to another level. Over the past six years, the duo has been continuously touring across Europe, Asia, Australia, the US and Brazil to some respected venues and festivals such as Panorama Bar, Sónar, Igloofest or Creamfields, charming sweet dancefloors with ease. In their hometown Bern, the two can still be found frequently behind the decks of Club Bonsoir. A Venue, which the duo decided to open along the way and where they invite regularly some of the DJ circuit’s brightest up-and-comers. 

Despite all the years in the business and all those projects, the unresting duo doesn’t lose any of it’s creativity, dedication and will, to bring out great music. Hove’s young yet cherished Label ‘Lights of other Days’ and Birus more recent project Monumental Men alongside Mel Mercury are the latest two examples therefor.

For this Episode of the Series, the duo delivers an hour of thoughtfully selected tracks, beautifully mixed together for your enjoyment.

INTERVIEW FOR IBIZA VOICE ! ! !

Nhan Solo had an awesome 2012, pushing out plenty of great hip hop-influenced house music and setting up his own label, Mother Recordings. He’s part of a new generation of producers who are smashing dancefloors around the globe with a sound that is easy-to-digest, and infused with familiarity though still maintains a cool, underground feel to it. Nhan’s 2013 is already looking like a big one, so we caught up with him for a quick chat to find out what’s in store.

I-VOICE: So Nhan, how's 2013 so far?
Thank you for asking, the year got off to a good start with my release of the current Mother Recordings ‘Nina Rocks’ EP. I am really happy to have remixers like Death On The Balcony (Pets Recordings) and Mat.Joe (OFF Recordings) for the EP. It’s going well for me.

I-VOICE: How was 2012 for you? Seems like it went pretty well... any personal highlight?
To be honest, 2012 was the best year in my young career as a DJ. ‘Friends’ and most of all ‘Easy’, which was picked by DITH India, Ministry Of Sound Australia and New State Music UK were my musical highlights. And of course, the founding of Mother Recordings - a step up to an independent House Label, my very own, which gives me a platform for all kinds of artistic freedom.

I-VOICE: What have you been up to so far this year?
I’m going to fly for the first time outside Europe to DJ in the country of soccer, Brasil. I am delighted; Rio de Janeiro, Sao, Paulo and of course Florianópolis, the Mecca for all surfers. Caipirinha, sun and sea - what else could you ask for.

I-VOICE: What do you have planned for the rest of the year, any big targets?
Personally, I want to play a lot this year. There is a North American tour with Stranjjur Agency and a  South American Tour with Greenroom planned and I would love to go to Australia - Gold Coast and Bondi Beach I heard are great places to go surfing. I am really excited that my next EP will be released on Stranjjur NYC in April and it will show a new side to me. All I’m going to say is: Funk, Funk, Funk. For the label, every three months we plan to release the ‘Superlative Tracks’ compilation series and, in May, the ‘One Year Happy Birthday Compilation’, with artists and friends from the label e.g. Adriatique, NTFO, Daniel Dexter, Miguel Puente, Justin Jay, Shivers*, Jay West, Art In Motion and many more.

I-VOICE: You played in London recently for the first time, how was it?
This was an interesting story. The party was partially legal and it was planned to take place in a warehouse in West London but unfortunately the city cancelled the party having proposed requirements the promoters were not able to meet. So my maiden voyage had to be postponed.  I hope I can visit them soon to rock and cure my hangover with an original English breakfast.

I-VOICE: What are you working on, music-wise at the moment?
At the moment my main focus is my label Mother Recordings. It is an exciting experience and the feedback is incredibly positive so far. Lots of work, very time-consuming and so, the time left for producing disappears. However, I do have a certain responsibility for my artists and their projects and I believe that everything done with passion and a true sense of sincerity will find its way!

I-VOICE: How do you feel about the music scene at the moment?
For me it is very productive and harmonic.

I-VOICE: Who are you really feeling? Any new artists we should keep our ears open for?
There are so many artists. As the head of a label you get a lot of demos and there are some musical pearls. Personally, I think that Moosefly are the bomb right now, they will also be releasing an EP on Mother Recordings and are involved with an original track on the ‘Superlative Tracks Volume 1’ too.

I-VOICE: Can you tell me a bit about your Ibiza Voice podcast...
The podcast reflects my understanding of House. This is how I sound in clubs. It includes many exclusive tracks from the upcoming ‘Mother Superlative Tracks Volume 1’, my current Mother EP and music from artists and friends that I love to play and support at the moment. I hope you all like it.

I-VOICE: Any last words for us?
