Interplanetary funksters from the mothership & inspired by a plethora of dance music, DJ’s, edits & cut ups… Experienced DJ’s & producers, JARC’s edit, cut up ethos is inspired by the funk of James Brown, Parliament, The Gap Band, Prince, Kool & The Gang, The Brothers Johnson, The Bar-kays, SOS Band, Patrice Rushen,
Odyssey & Chic just to name a few. JARC simply love the groove, the funk & the spirit of the dancefloor!
JARC’s first EP including “If You” and “Want Me” was released on 12” vinyl in Feb 2020. They followed that with EP number 2, including the slinky funk grooved “Brooklyn Baby” and the up disco vibed “Love Ecstacy”.
They also just completed their first official remix with “The Night The Lights Went Out” by Sgt Slick getting the funky JARC treatment (released in December on Vicious Recordings)…
Now to finish off a busy 2020 the duo drop their third EP featuring two new cuts…“Move On Up” is an up-tempo, disco meets house track with a fat groove, energetic
sax and horn sections and snippets of the title line vocal “The Music Is Hot, Don’t Stop, Just Move On Up” woven throughout. The flip side “You Make Me Hot” slows
things right down, with a laidback funky groove, big bongo and percussion drops, all building into the diva vocal line and driven by an uber funky bassline. We think you’ll agree after hearing the above that it’s been a super productive year
for this dynamic duo!
