We're back with three fun Tigerskin party grooves.
‚La La La Song‘ was a secret weapon for many Dj's when it came out in Spring 2011.
We've seen big smiles on the dance floor to this one. The ‚lyrics‘ just go ‚La La La‘ throughout the track, forming a simple canon. Originally the vocal was just recorded as example for a planned vocalist but Alex liked it so much, he kept it that way.

‚Jankowski‘ came out in 2014 on the short-lived Electronique label from Manchester and unfortunately stayed widely under the radar. It's a nice groover with classical strings and a cool break that leads you directly to a mountain pasture full of cows.

‚Anthem‘ is a brand new club tune that will shake your dance floors with it's super catchy percussion patterns, ducked cymbals and a 303 line straight from the alien ship. The vocal gives you a direct command on what you should be doing when hearing it: DANCING!

4 big ol’ chunks of heavy house music are the order of the day from New York producer Ralph Session’s hot new EP for Black Jukebox. Combining his skills as a musician and seasoned DJ along with the technical know-how from his work as an audio engineer, the result is a collection of beautifully crafted, hard-hitting house cutz.
‘That Raw’ features a breathy spoken-word vocal from DJ Amir—one half of the legendary duo Kon & Amir—that laces the soulful, deep production with a hypnotic atmosphere. Thick bass bubbles beneath soaring strings and meandering synth arpeggios to give the track a set-building, big-room feel. ‘Do It’ rocks jaunty snatches of piano and sax over its peppy, skippy beat, with a little New Jersey feel in its incessant, phat-bottomed grove. ‘If You Want’ takes us into a deeper direction with its hazy pad work and dubby touches, with a slinky, rubbery bass groove that throbs hard beneath it all. Turn it up loud and feel it envelop you with its wide-open atmospherics. ‘Raw Sax’ rounds off with a dusty, skipping drum track shuffling around dreamy filtering synths, dubbed-out stab patterns and of course a sultry sax line.

PBR Streetgang are Bonar Bradberry and Tom Thorpe, a pair completely submerged in the world of club culture their entire adult life. Their debut release ‘Never Get Off the Boat’ dropped in 2008 on Ilija Rudman’s Croatian label Red Music Records and since those early beginnings they have found homes for their signature sound on Futureboogie, Throne Of Blood, 2020Vision, Wolf Music, Crosstown Rebels and Skint Records. Their impressive back catalogue of remixing work includes Kylie, Lana Del Rey, Bryan Ferry, Hot Chip, Friendly Fires, Crazy P and more.

As DJs they have played across the globe at almost every venue and festival of credible note; Panorama Bar, Fabric, Glastonbury, Love International Festival. With strong links to Ibiza, their residencies include We Love at the infamous Space Club, and more recently Pike’s Hotel. Outside of the studio and the booth, they held a residency on Rinse FM, becoming one of the mainstays of the station hosting international guests and fresh talent monthly. PBR’s label, Kurtz Records, was created by the duo as a platform for their own output and as a stage to champion some of their favourite new artists and remixers.

Fast forward 20 years … 20 f’kin years! To many crowds the world over PBR Streetgang are known and loved for their talents behind the turntables, but to others they are producers and remixers whose eclectic taste and evolving style has seen them enjoy longevity and much critical acclaim.

To celebrate this milestone, PBR bring us a rare selection of originals and remixes that show the breadth and depth of their work. Featuring early originals that propelled them into the limelight, like ‘Downstroke’ and ‘J2Thab’, and more recently their stand-out disco tinged nugget from their debut album ‘Late Night Party Line’. There are also some previously un-pressed remixes like the cult classic rework of Romanthony - ‘Bring You Up’, the slow chuggy sleaze of Bryan Ferry - ‘One Night Stand’, and the teary-eyed euphoria of their remix of Hot Chip - ‘Melody of Love’.

This compilation represents an honest retrospective of the production and remix talents of PBR Streetgang. Always keeping true to their sound, and true to themselves.

Currently enjoying the Italian summer Peter LC usually resides in Berlin enjoying the city’s vibrancy. However, the artist’s music manages the balancing act of combining both the Mediterranean ease and partly the northern European melancholia, sometimes Peter fuses both in just one track, sometimes his EPs process into telling exactly this story, maybe his story, namely that of an artists, who's cut his own path. Thus far, Pietro’s - Peter LC’s real name - path has crossed with labels such as Small Great Things, Raw Soul, Discodelic Records and RVZ, a sub-label of Sakskøbing. With each release he’s establishing himself more as a respected artist within the scene contributing music, which not only scratches the surface but touches the heart of dancefloor it is played out. Surely, there will be more to Peter LC and his music in the future, but for the moment let’s hear the artist’s story about his way to electronic music-, respectively House Music-scene as well as future prospects on his artistic-being. Therefore, Peter also prepared the latest edition of the art:cast series.
