'Hot on the heels of Helsoot's standout 'Take Care' in February comes a brilliant new remix of it by emerging Brazilian star Maz.

Maz makes music from the soul and has remixed several artists before now and is about to head out on tour across Brazil's best clubs and venues from Green Valley to Vintage Culture's So Track Boa Festival. He is an emerging talent who is sure to win many more fans with this brand new remix.

His version of 'Take Care' is sublime in the way it builds on wavy beats and with soft shakers. They layer up next to pixelated leads and a rising sense of tension that sweeps you off your feet and into a sky full of lush and emotive melodies.

The original is the latest Get Physical tune from Thomas Helsoot, a long-time underground mainstay on an array of labels from Poesie Musik to Lane 8’s This Never Happened. After more than 10 years of applying his production know-how behind the scenes for the likes of Diplo he has now stepped out and is enjoying solo success. But unlike in the motion picture business, where sequels tend to be watered down rehashes of the original, those Raptures are just getting better and better. It’s all here, the dense and gentle build-up, the tender piano lines, the just overwhelming emotion. Safe bet, we’re dealing with a future classic here.

Nuno dos Santos’ boutique label SoHaSo (shorthand for Something Happening Somewhere; although, sadly the same can no longer be said of Trouw) has been cruising steadily for the best part of two years now, but "Tonii" might just be the best thing committed to wax yet. Love Over Entropy's 12m original is sturdy with bright flourishes throughout, forever climbing and searching without resolve; techy without, y'know, being techy. 

This retouch comes from none other than Innervisions' main man, although  less overtly lovelorn than we've come to expect. He  twists the lead melody into something resembling a steel pan drum, backed by laser-guided synths pinging all around: a festival-sized breakdown held just at the precipice, never fully cresting. Dixon, you big tease.

Lost & Found deliver the long-awaited, highly anticipated remix package for Khen's 'One Day Of Independence' LP this week. It's a stacked line-up on the release with label boss Guy J himself, Lehar, Luca Bachetti, Termoment and rising star Patrice Baumel all turning in their own takes on cuts from the album. Baumel, who's seized major attention with releases on the likes of Kompakt and Anjunadeep over the last year, provides a sleek, smooth, synth-laden roller for the occasion, taking the original track up a notch in intensity. We're very excited to present the remix in full premiere today :)

In the words of the Amsterdam-based producer himself, Baumel explained "I consider Khen one of the most promising new artists in electronic dance music and was blown away by his album. The beauty of “Land of Goshen” lies in his melodic arrangement. I wanted the remix to respect the original and just gave it the club treatment it needed to beam people into outer space.”
