Berlin's Dompe offers up a hazy and hypnotic take on the original that grows into a stomping groove built from tight, truncated loops and a thick, bolstered low-end. Long, swooning breakdowns form misty stop-gaps that slap back with reliable power making it a perfect warm up tune for DJs looking to stack tension in those excitable early hours.

Parla rounds off the package with a neat, functional Hi NRG Disco edit propelled by a ripe, muscular kick. The fun and vibrancy of the original is certainly upheld but just distilled a tad as filters and delays have the melodies swirling just out of focus allowing the drums to drive the track. Another fervent breakdown stretches out before a full-force drop lands it right in the sweaty centre of a brimful floor.

Exploited Club warmly welcomes back Mexican talent Levantine who follows up his previous Acid Infatuation EP on Exploited Club with another dose of his trademark sound: a deft interweaving of Eurodance and Italo - this time with the addition of a some sultry Spanish vocals.  

The backbone of 'Adicción De Amor' is a kit of rich, full spectrum drums that land with seismic force. They form a stout foundation for the track while a climbing, dynamo synth riff loops through over the top and a delicate spoken vocal floats with a contrastingly subtlety touch.

A fervid tension continues to course as high frequency FX and drum fills are expressively scattered and splashed before an Italo remix provides another side to the coin.

Slightly slowed and stripped back, the energy marches toward a spacious breakdown that creates a void for the vocals before the burly drums bite back with full force and an LFO sends the synth line flickering like a strobe throughout the conclusion of a classy record that melds retrograde synthesis with sharp, punchy sonics.

Across a string of well received records on Seth Troxler's Play It Say It, 20/20 Vision and Moan Recordings, The Mekanism has honed a refreshingly uninhibited sound - one that pops with joyful expression and works to serve the sort of free-flowing parties he regularly plays across the US and Mexico.

Here, he delivers his trademark sound with 'Do The Disco' - a rapturous cut that features percussion from Grammy Award-winning percussionist Jorge Bezerra and an alt sax replaying of 'Do It At The Disco' by Gary's Gang by Tom Barford with a gracious nod from Nervous and Uni Disc.

The taught skins of Bezerra's drums rattle out of the blocks and get things off to an electrifying start. Pattered into dexterous of polyrhythms, they carry that certain energy that drives a marrow-deep motivation to move while a straight 4/4 kick maintains a solid boom throughout.

Jorge Bezerra is a Grammy Award-winning Musician and Percussionist who has worked alongside many great artists throughout his career, notably on Ludovic Navarre’s St Germain project, on stage with the wonderful Melody Gardot and as an integral member of the Joe Zawinul Syndicate that allowed him to share the stage with other greats, such as Herbie Hancock, Bebel Gilberto, Hitonari Tsuji, Cheick Tidiane and Bobby McFerrin. 

Barford's sax is steadily filtered in while a bossy bass line walks up and down and the mood begins to bubble. Drums, sax and bass take turns to grab centre stage and the resultant vibe is feverish, balmy and jammed full of fun.

Austria’s Uncertain arrives on Rekids' REK’D label for the first time with the ‘Nasty House’ EP 19th September 2025. He follows up his 2024 ‘Praise’ album on the Techno-focused RSPX sibling label, alongside several EPs since his debut in 2022.

For ‘Nasty House’, he turns the clock back to his 90s House roots, before his signature, drummy Techno sounds as Boriqua Tribez in the 2000s and later Uncertain project. ‘Nasty’ is up first, a tough beat underpinning deep, swishing synths which thread along the bassline while classic House elements subtly rear their head throughout. ‘Push’ continues, slightly more jacking, but equally classy, fusing lush chords with expert, old-school sampling.

Active since 1989 as Boriqua Tribez and known as Uncertain since 2018, he has made a name for himself with diverse productions that have made him one of Beatport’s top-selling Techno artists, while his fast-paced three-deck mixing and dancefloor storytelling fuel his tours abroad. Across the last three decades, he’s worked on countless releases on labels like Truncate, Beard Man, Illegal Alien, and Mind Medizin.

Matt Edwards launched REK’D in October 2024 to release no-nonsense House music without the limitations of parent label Rekids. It has released dancefloor-ready EPs from artists such as St. David, DCLVIII OFC, James Juke, James Curd, Ketiov, and more.

Otherwise Records presents “Stop That Record, And Rewind That!”, the latest EP by DJ, producer, and label manager Fran Bortolossi. Featuring 3 original tracks — “Stop That Record,And Rewind That!”, “Music All Night Long” and “Don’t Do It” — the release navigates the intersection of Indie Dance and Nu Disco, where arrangement choices push the tension between memory and motion, the dancefloor and immersive listening.

The title track builds around vocal cuts that operate like rhythmic triggers, layered over modulated basslines and spacious percussion in a structure that nods to the past without falling into nostalgia. “Music All Night Long” leans into a looser, more fluid framework, led by textures reminiscent of early Daft Punk — channeling club hedonism with restraint. Closing the EP, “Don’t Do It” takes a more direct route, fusing groove and harmonic fragments, anchored by a filtered vocal that emerges with a confessional tone.

With this release, Fran Bortolossi continues to refine his sonic language — one rooted in deliberate timbral choices and structures that emphasize internal movement. Stop That Record, And Rewind That! sits within the Otherwise catalog as a contemporary reading of the dialogue between form and function, expanding the ways sound can inhabit space with clarity and control.
