Ill Adrenaline Records and Da Beatminerz team up again to put out two dope unreleased remixes coming straight out the vaults from Mr. Walt and Evil Dee.
While the original version of "...Sumthin" (feat. Tash & Rah Digga) got a more funky vibe, the remix of this east coast/west coast collaboration banger is on the rough and rugged tip. Produced by Mr. Walt and featuring Tash of Tha Alkaholiks and Brick City's Rah Digga, this remix was recorded back in the same year as the original version (1998) and shelved until now.
The b-side remix of Black Star's (Mos Def & Talib Kweli) "Another World" is another amazing and unreleased remix of this classic tune. Just like the first remix, this drum driven and funky remix didn't make it onto any release either. Da Beatminerz got hired to do several remixes of this track (originally produced by UK production crew The Creators) in '98.

In 2003 I was sitting on my PC downloading countless gigabytes of Underground Hip Hop, a sub-genre of rap I had recently been introduced to. Somehow I came across this record called the "Two Headed Dragon" by Binary Star. After thinking it was really dope, I found another record called, "Reality Check." I can honestly say that record changed my life.. Shortly after being inadvertently introduced to a brand of Hip Hop i'd never before experienced, I joined a message board for One Be Lo fans where I could keep up to date with the artist's movements. In 2004-2005, I was a freshman in high school walking around campus bumping SONOGRAM in my Sony CD player. That's right kids, a CD player. It was around that same time I first met One Be Lo at a show at the California Polytechnic University of Pomona. After that show I would stay in touch with Lo every so often via the internet. Years later, around 2009, I get an e-mail from dude talking about, "Let's hoop." With no hesitation, I scooped Lo up from Senim Silla's crib out in LA, and took him to the infamous RC Sports Center in Rancho Cucamonga. I ran five on five with him, my boy D, my brother, and this kid Josh. It wasn't till after that game of five on five that I showed the One Man Army my music. Though he gave my CD a real listen and had some encouraging words for me, I truly believe it was really my jump shot that earned his respect. A little over 10 years have now passed since that day. I've been blessed to have traveled with One Be Lo on multiple tours, including internationally. We've recorded a few songs, played a few games of basketball, and have had countless hours building as brothers in Islam. Though I have known Lo for 10 years, this is the first time I have him featured on one of my songs. "All Natural," is what occurs when you let relationships build organically. Nearly two decades after the release of his classic debut, West Coast stalwart Ras Kass returns to 'Soul On Ice' for a two-part follow-up album led by tough-as-nails lead single “Downward Spiral.” It boasts neck-snapping production by UK’s ILLinformed, and a series of grimy features from Freddie Foxxx and Onyx’s Fredro Starr and Sticky Fingaz.

With slick references to Killer Mike, Conrad Murray (the doctor who killed Michael Jackson), artist Dorian Gray, and wack trend-hopping rappers, Ras steals the show here with his attention-commanding opening verse before passing the mic to his talented collaborators. Each emcee offers gritty, raw, and timeless rhymes that ultimately point directly back to the hook’s message of flushing all the bullsh*t directly down the sh*tter like it deserves.

Some emcees have preserved the gift of quality over time and Phantasm is one of these emcees. In the 90's and early 2000 Phantasm and then partner UG were signed to almighty Loud Records as Cella Dwellas (later just The Dwellas) along with several heavyweight acts on the label's roster including Wu-Tang Clan, Big Pun, Xzibit, M.O.P, and Mobb Deep. Phantasm & UG's debut album "Realms 'N Reality" (1996) debuted at #160 on the Billboard 200 charts and was mainly produced by underground mainstay beatsmith Nick Wiz. The Flatbush duo was also featured on fellow Brooklyn artist Masta Ace's classic album "Sittin' On Chrome". The Dwellas followed up with a dope second album ("The Last Shall Be First") in 2000 which featured Large Professor, Cocoa Brovaz, Organized Konfusion, Inspectah Deck (of Wu-Tang Clan), and many more.

Phantasm recently teamed up with Ill Adrenaline Records to release a timeless single ("Louder Than Ever") produced by Germany's own SP1200 maestros 12 Finger Dan and B-Base (aka Soulbrotha). Complete with a true school feel and a dope scratch hook, Phan executes with a sharp delivery with lines like "...had to pen them bars, got out the street life had to mend them scars. Praise God or Allah whoever sent us Nas." Tall Man Phan is back to basics on his latest release.
