An intersection of original dubs and outernational electronica, Ashtech’s Walkin’ Target, produced and co-written by Gaudi, was originally released in 2007 on cult Canadian label soundcloud.com/interchill and is now presented for the first time on vinyl.

Tightly structured, Walkin’ Target revolves around soundcloud.com/ashtech’s earth rattling basslines and soundcloud.com/gaudi's solid production aesthetic, with three of the tracks featuring the inimitable vocal stylings of Cheshire Cat (Leftfield). A former bass player with Almamegretta, Ashtech’s intuitive style combined with Gaudi’s melodic flair to create a joyful collection of groove orientated roots and downtempo dubs that upon release found a home in the collection of music lovers worldwide.

Long deleted and not available on any mainstream download or streaming platforms, Ashtech dug out the original audio files, which were lovingly re-mastered for this pressing.

It’s been 30 years since Sirius beamed its sounds to planet Bong and to celebrate, the band contacted friends, old and new, to interpret those frequencies in new ways. Some headed for the dancefloor and others stuck by the bass bins, but all imparted musical wisdoms that take tracks from Sirius Sounds and its descendant, Not Sirius, to new constellations. These are very Sirius Versions!

soundcloud.com/childrenofthebong were formed in the early 1990s by Rob Henry and Daniel Goganian and soon found acclaim for their fiery acid melodies and earthy dub rhythms, with Melody Maker describing them as creating "the perfect soundtrack for a swirling lightshow". They released one album, Sirius Sounds, on Planet Dog in 1995, as well as a couple of tracks on the label's compilations and a Peel Session recorded for BBC Radio 1, before disappearing in a haze of smoke. In 2023 they re-emerged to release their long lost second album, Not Sirius, on Disco Gecko.

Sirius Versions showcases both the range of the duo’s sonic spectrum and the outsized influence their debut album has had on artists since its release. The various artists who have contributed remixes span generations and genres, with the end results flowing from blissed-out beats to freeform freakouts, organic dubtronica to trancefloor hustlers, with some psychedelic space-funk thrown in along the way.
