When it comes to both artistic endeavors and friendships, I have similar views on both, despite these being two unrelated things. But they're really not. It's just two ways of conveying personal connection and communication within a culture, a time and space. One may be more personal and another may be more exposed, but when you reduce them down to the minimal exponent, it's just talking. That's all there is to it.

I think an extremely cool thing in life is when you have two friends, unrelated to each other, and you connect them, so they also form a friendship with each other. In these terms, my goal with this song, and with a lot of my music, is the act of mixing things together in hopes of creating a new common language indivisible from both, initially unrelated, concepts. Music, like any other language, cannot be born in a vacuum. It needs an environment and something to talk about. So, like my comparison to friendships, what I'm doing here is putting two guys in a room to see what they're talking about.
