In the dim glow of an after-school classroom, the first band formed by a 15-year-old Genesiskhode was already turning heads.
“Your songs are cinematic,” producers would rave in unison. But they always added the same devastating footnote: “If only it weren’t for the vocals.”
That voice was the one anchor holding his cinematic sound earthbound.
The setback became rocket fuel. At university, he gutted a six-tatami dorm room and rebuilt it into a “starship studio.” There, he stitched lo-fi, trap, and city-pop into beats that smelled of back-alley asphalt under a galactic sky.
Under an alias, he slipped tracks into indie films and fashion videos—projects fronted by actresses who are now household names. His reputation spread through the underground like neon static.
And so, to turn his former complex into his greatest weapon, he chose to liberate himself from his own voice.
Rebooted as a “voiceless singer-songwriter,” he now carves his inner monologue into his tracks.
Listeners hear the emotional resonance and call it “a soulful voice.”
But the voice isn’t human.
It’s a new kind of soul, forged by technology—from vocaloids to the cutting edge of synthetic voice creation.
The universe may be infinite, but his bedroom keeps finding new corners of it.
And the world is starting to dance in its orbit.

There’s a sweet spot where the digital world meets raw human emotion—that’s where I live. I’m a fusion artist blending the polish of Pop, the groove of R&B, and the vibe of Neo-Soul.

Inside my home studio, I build every track from the ground up—jumping between DAWs, layering MIDI keys, and recording live instruments to find the perfect texture. But the production is just the canvas. As the vocalist, my goal is to deliver a heartfelt message that cuts through the noise, breathing life into original stories written in collaboration with my lyricist.

Russo broke into Manchester’s music scene back in 2005, when house music was still bubbling under the surface, vinyl was king, and Technics 1210s were every DJ’s weapon of choice. Early gigs at spots like North and Ampersands gave him his first taste of the scene, but it was landing a residency at the legendary Sankeys Soap that truly put him on the map.

It was at Sankeys where Russo sharpened his craft, sharing the booth with Manchester legend Jason Herd and playing alongside global heavyweights like Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello, Dirty South, and Eric Prydz.

As his name grew, so did the gigs — with residencies across Leeds, Sheffield, Birmingham, Newcastle, Preston, and London. When Sankeys briefly closed, Russo was snapped up by powerhouse brand Bitch, where he quickly became a regular fixture at Venus and a key part of their evolving sound. During his time there, he shared the stage with some of dance music’s biggest names, including Hardwell, Eddie Halliwell, Deniz Koyu, Kim Fai, Michael Woods, Kryder, Third Party, Arno Cost, Nicky Romero, and more.

His growing profile earned him a coveted place on the Warehouse Project lineup, where he played nearly 20 sets over the years, performing alongside the likes of Alesso, Otto Knows, Thomas Gold, Dyro, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano.

In 2011, Russo made his debut at the very first Mint Festival in Leeds — a standout set that held its own among a stacked lineup. Appearing alongside names like Jamie Jones, Marco Carola, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Nervo, Seth Troxler, John Dahlbäck, and Danny Howard.

Not one to stand still, Russo then performed in Manchester a nights for Ministry of Sound, Pukka Up, and hosting HedKandi’s 15th Anniversary NYE party.

What sets Russo apart is his spontaneous mixing, technical skill, and ability to keep things fresh with exclusive bootlegs, personal edits, and rare cuts you won’t hear anywhere else. That unique approach, combined with a deep connection to the crowd, has earned him a reputation as one of Manchester’s standout DJs.

The Sacrifice Project represents a unique and limitless musical universe. Traveling through diverse influences, from Trap to Drum & Bass or even EDM to name a few. From the darkest to the most sparkling musical styles, this project is led by a music producer from Paris, France.  Influenced from a young age by electronic music and by artists from different horizons such as Daft Punk, Kanye West or the Swedish House Mafia. It's thanks to his musical culture that he came to imagine and develop such a special universe that stands out from what the electronic scene can offer nowadays. The Sacrifice Project brings mystical touches to his productions that delivers a sound of a new genre.
