I wrote this song as a way to tell myself to keep on dreaming and that nothing is impossible as long as you keep fighting for it. It was created when I was in a place in my life where I felt that nothing I did went the way I wanted. Instead of writing a song about hoe though life can be I chose to write a song that should lift me up and inspire instead of making me look at all the dark in my life. Perhaps it can inspire and help someone else to see that there is light in the dark. As always I Sing and play all instrument myself.

Bonjour à tous, 
Voici une vérité historique que le canada nous a cachée
Dans mes archives j'ai retrouvé une chanson de 1992, que j'avais oubliée. 
Elle est inspirée d'une histoire vraie et méconnue du canada qu'un vieux baroudeur m'avait racontée. 
Entre les années 1950 et 1970, des milliers de chiens de traîneau, essentiels au mode de vie des communautés Inuits du Nord canadien, ont été abattus. Ces ordres provenaient notamment de la Gendarmerie royale du Canada (GRC) et d'autres autorités gouvernementales. Officiellement, ces tueries étaient justifiées pour des raisons sanitaires, comme la prévention de la rage. Cependant, cette action a eu pour conséquence la destruction d'un mode de vie ancestral : sans leurs chiens, les Inuit ne pouvaient plus se déplacer, chasser ni conserver leur autonomie. 
Parallèlement, durant la même période, de nombreux enfants Inuits ont été retirés de leurs familles pour être placés dans des institutions, comme les pensionnats indiens. Ces politiques d'assimilation ont gravement fragilisé la transmission culturelle et la liberté de ce peuple. 
Ce massacre a laissé des cicatrices profondes. Il symbolise la façon dont des décisions, souvent présentées comme « bien intentionnées », peuvent en réalité masquer des politiques d'assimilation et de contrôle. Aujourd'hui, des initiatives de revitalisation culturelle et la mémoire des quelques chiens survivants rappellent la résilience des Inuits. 
À ma manière, j'ai voulu faire revivre leur mémoire à travers cette chanson.
Il est important de rappeler ces faits pour que l'histoire ne se perde pas.
