Yung Scauldy an Irish born DJ and Producer started producing from the age of 16. After experiencing the Limerick rave scene Scauldy quickly began to produce and perfect his unique underground sound. After moving to the UK before the Pandemic, Yung Scauldy hoped to pursue his love for music. Despite the challenges produced by COVID-19 Scauldy has continued to produce music and make connections and indeed friendships with other artists. New to-the-scene producer Oaklee is wasting no time with his recent release Solas in City on Scottish label Shire Selections. The 3 track EP was a follow up to his stand alone release at the start of the year titled Turning.



Aaron Shaw, aka Oaklee, is born and bred in Dublin City and spent recent years falling in love with the Irish music scene at venues such as District 8, Hangar and Wigwam. His own music, a blend of progressive techno and tech house, shines through in this set as enlivening, diverse and full of energy.



Oaklee spoke about the prospect of live music and the absence of events as a local upcoming artist. ‘Times have been hard, but we’ve been harder and I’m buzzing to play my music to live crowds whenever I get the chance. It can be very frustrating as an upcoming artist having nowhere to showcase yourself. But the people I respect the most and look up to as both DJs and Producers have only started getting back at it themselves depending where they’re based. For now, this mix features my latest release and lots of other local talent people can enjoy at home. Since the beginning of the year I’ve just focused on myself and learning as much as I can. Hopefully a bit of normality is closer than we think’.

‘Certified Bangerz 4 Charity’ is Space Collective’s first label release. The V/A consists of 8 tracks well produced by 8 talented artists hailing from all parts of Ireland and Italy.


The aim of this V/A is to raise money for ‘De Paul’ charity as we are in the winter months and it is Christmas time. De Paul help the homeless in amazing ways and we want to help fund them in what they do!

Annnnd here we go, the first episode of our podcast series.

First up we have heavy hitter Tipperary man Keenan. Keenan has been blowing Limerick up a storm with residency with @touchoftechno and also being a co-founder of @wagwan_limerick .

This mix focuses on the hard techno genre that is ever so dominant in the Irish underground scene, consisting of tracks from Irish producers that is sure to get your weekend off on a right one.

Express Selects 001 - KEENAN

Wexford native SYMØNE(@symonekatus) began her journey into the industry in 2018 after a long time day dreaming about it and hasn’t looked back since. Crediting her households diverse music tastes as a youth she draws her repertoire from the old school rave scene, defaulting to trance and acid while also peppering in new age raw, melodic and minimal techno. This mixed spectrum of musical influence paired with an open mind and fierce curiosity translates seamlessly into her sets, where she picks apart and creates an infectious fusion of her favourite pieces of each subgenre.
Describing her sound as high energy with a dark yet feel-good vibe, Symone’s captivating & dynamic sets allow audiences to get lost in the beauty of heavy bass lines.
The last year has seen Symone cement her name in the Irish music scene supporting artists such as 999999999, Matador, Dense & Pika, Rebuke and more in venues across the country. Ever evolving and having set the bar high for her work ethic, she continues to dedicate herself to the craft.

Next up we have Galway’s own and one half of d2al, Gareth Laheen aka Gerkin @user-827632285. Over the past 2 years he has taken Galway by storm and has run numerous events around the city in venues such as The Cellar, Fibbers, The Loft and the old Der Kesselraum in Carbon. He has supported a host of emerging Irish talent including the likes of Meadbh O Connor, Efa O Neill and Sonia.

Episode 5 we have KIRK @afik-2. This mix features a few tasty unreleased tracks from KIRK so keep your eyes peeled for when these bangers get released and also features a few Irish producers and household names.

For those of you who may not know who this man is you are certainly going to hear more of his name in the future having already gotten the attention of Ireland's own Rebuke. Strap in for some solid Techno

"I started off making crappy beats on my laptop a few years back, but when I was old enough to go to festivals and raves the music and atmosphere blew my mind which inspired me to get involved in the underground scene. My dream was then to play my own productions out to a crowd and see people go mad to my music. 2019 was the year a lot of my music started to take off, being played at festivals across Ireland. This year I have had tracks signed to labels such as Techno City, a quickly rising techno label based here at home. I've had recent support from Rebuke, opening his Rebuke ravers club set with an unreleased track of mine ''Tomorrow starts without me''. " - KIRK

Episode 7 we are delighted to host Jayne Veronica who is certainly on the rise at the minute with her music career

Jayne is a Female Irish DJ hoping to attract listeners attention by her perplexing use of some acid and trance taste, combined with the wide use of energetic and solid heavy techno beats. 
Jayne is new on the techno scene the last couple of months, expanding her guest mix selection and live streams, quickly growing a fan base. In the next few months expect to hear more of her with events, gigs and plenty more mixes to come!

Express Selects 007 - Jayne Veronica

For our first mix of 2021 we bring you JON10 @onathanaughton. Co-Founder and resident Dj of newly found and ever growing Limerick collective @_izotope_. JON10 burst onto the scene early this year following the success of the @_izotope_ first event. He has continued to make a mark on the electronic music scene in limerick by curating and performing at live streams alongside his colleagues and other collectives during this bleak period IN the music industry. JON10 delivers a hard hitting 60 minutes within this mix seamlessly blending and uniting oldskool techno, hard grooves, drum and bass, a series of breaks and grime by UK artists such as MIST and SL all in the one mix.

Next up for episode 23 we have our final member of the Express crew as we host co-founder Tom Fallon. 

Tom broke on to the scene in 2019 forming a duo called Syndicate with Fiachra and hasn't looked back since having picked up gigs in venues such as The Loft and The Cellar in Galway City and then going on to form and become 1/3 of Express collective midway through 2020. Tom's hard hitting style is seen throughout all of his sets and we're glad to complete the trio on our weekly mix series here at Express

Express Selects 023 - Tom Fallon

BNKRPT is a dj/producer duo from Galway developed by Paul Belton and Eamonn Noone. It began in 2018, linking up for their new project, where they both worked crafting their unique sound, absorbing and studying a wide range of musical influences. They have a combined total of over 20 years experience when it comes to DJing and Producing. 

Belton is no stranger to the scene, starting DJing in 2008 and playing in many various nightclubs over the years. He has been the resident DJ of Electric Garden and Theatre for the last 7 years which saw him play support to a vast list of international artists such as Bicep, Seth Troxler, Boys Noize, Etienne de Crecy, Nightmares on Wax and many more.
He has also played Life Festival and Yurt City as well as playing District 8 in 2017 alongside Waze & Odyssey.

Noone with a background in writing music for film, television and video games with credits on World of Warcraft, Revenge season 2, Stevie a VH1 tv amongst other games, documentaries and films. Noone has been working in the music industry for the last 11 years since finishing his final piece of college in the UCLA music composition level 3. After working with other producers and composers in LA, Noone returned back to Ireland to spend time in the studio working on films, games , television libraries and some of his own projects.

Together these two producers form the dance enthused group BNKRPT. BNKRPT are on a mission to push their sound to create a unique experience  for their listeners that takes them on a journey of euphoric dance. Spending time in the studio crafting their own unique sounds to create a feeling that paints the styles of music they share a love for. Mixing Breakbeat over banging techno drums and using their melodic melodies to draw the listener in and take them to a climax. There is no doubt that BNKRPT leave their listeners wanting to hear what they will release next.
