“VAI” is a deep-house reinterpretation filled with nostalgia and emotion — a 2025 reimagining of Anda (2018), the track that carried me across continents every time I travelled back to my home country, Portugal.

This new version keeps the soul of the original while pushing it into a modern, atmospheric space: warm pads, subtle grooves, and a sense of introspection that grows with every minute.
The EP also features several remixes, including a powerful one by ROTI, marking his very first remix on Electro Culture Records.

“VAI” is both a return and a departure — a personal journey transformed into music.

Gregor is a musician and visual artist. For us he put together the next part of his ongoing series of "Practice Mix", which consists of self-composed productions. These are spontaneous live recordings, all of which were made last year. The recordings consist of own programmed samples, which are used in addition to excerpts from Arthur Russell, Sade and Twin Peaks. As a third component Roger G. Kies used some recordings from an old radio that he received via shortwave on moody summer nights. Even if there are tonal similarities and connections, Roger G. Kies's closeness to Hip Hop presents itself above all in his musical practice. That is to say in his handling of references and samples.
The result is an experimental flight simulator in which sounds are interwoven, only to be picked apart again in the next moment in analytical self-observation.
So take part in this glider journey through soft clouds and exquisite glitches.
No seatbelts required, smoking is permitted.
