This is a live recording of Project Pablo warming up the dancefloor for RA's party with Together Festival.

The event formed part of the week-long Boston festival, which has been running since 2010. This year's edition also featured Andy Stott, DVS1 and Total Science, fanning out across a number of bars and clubs in the historic Cambridge neighborhood.

West African and Venezuelan inspired dancefloor 45 from Cyril Diaz. Limited to 500 copies.--- Return of Cyril Diaz sees the 50's bandleader play the roots music of his Afro-Venezuelan parentage. His father Gordon Diaz migrated to Trinidad sometime in the early 1900's. 

Throughout the 1950's Cyril Diaz and his big band calypso orchestra toured the Caribbean and South America recording culturally inspired hybrid calypsos with an african and latin tinge. Showcased here is his fascination with west african shango on "Mme Killio" and the cuban derived but venezuelan made rumba on "Lena."

This week the Black Star podcast pays tribute to the figurehead of the Blaxploitation movement: a star who became one of the only black women to take the fight to the men in the action genre. We also track Blaxploitation's influence, from the hip hop of Snoop Dogg and the Geto Boys to the genre's late-90s resurgence thanks - in part - to Quentin Tarantino.

The Pam Grier episode of Black Star contained short clips from the following:

3 QUESTIONS to NICO STOJAN:

Q: You´re currently in Mexico. The best place to escape from the cold winter?

A: I am very thankful that I can travel around the world with my music. Last year was the first time for me here and I really enjoyed it. So wonderful to meet a lot of friends here spending time with them in the sun and celebrating the new year together. It is the perfect place to escape the long gray phase in Berlin.

Q: Talking about your mix – what did these tracks mean to you in the past?

A: It was not easy to decide wich track will finally be part of the mix cause there are so many I was listening to while I grew up. But those I put in the mix are defenitely the ones meaning a lot to me.

Q: What´s coming up next? Are there any tour or release plans?

A: I will have my every year Australia/New Zealand tour in feb/march and the next release on our new label OUÏE is coming end of march. It´s the new Acid Pauli Album.
