What is Nightcore for me?

There are a lot of different definitions of Nightcore floating around, but almost all of them have one thing in common: The track needs to have higher tempo and/or high pitch. Since this is the part pretty much everyone agrees on, it's also the only part that makes sense as a definition in my opinion.

If you limit the genre to a specific few, then you get the ever-so-annoying issue of what genre a song belongs to (or doesn't belong to). One person might consider a song to be a trance/dance track while another disagrees, so in that case, is it Nightcore if it's speed up? One person will say yes, another will say no.

I always categorize my tracks on personal feeling, and not some fuzzy genre "definition" that no one can ever agree on.
