With snowmelt, a vast forgotten place has reemerged. Rumors started circulating amongst people in the city nearby, and a few decided to go. These pilgrims could access the place only by moonlight, down long dirt paths. Amongst the ruins of this partial town, they found a funhouse, tavern, and cathedral. One of the visitors later described them as three different structures. Another swore it was a single space. The only certainty was that the structures shared a bright, blue-green mold.

On "Waiting + Remixes", two compositions by Emily Berregaard bookend five remixes. Each artist redraws a map from Berregaard’s: the areas where glacial expanse meets the heat of touch. These documents are devout as they are erotic, mirror images of the prayerful originals. The two tracks by Berregaard—extended abstractions of voice and saxophone, with dashes of textural field recordings—sourced from the artist's archives—are treated differently by each interlocutor.

Wilted Woman adds rhythm, darkly carnivalesque. Florian T M Zeisig, a celestial scrim. Angelo Harmsworth’s interpretation sees the place as a factory for affect, while Glyn Maier provides an asynchronous almanac. Alie draws an absorbing series of loops, a lacy garland made of Berregaard’s dreamy cantos.

This young artist schooled to master saxophone according to strict classical education by globally renowned lecturers has already proven his skills in numerous competitions although the discovery of a passion for electronic music production now seems to have taken over a large part of his life.

As his curiosity for music began to grow beyond classical arrangements he followed his journey through different genres. Avant-garde, Jazz as well as Contemporary Classical music have made a big influence, while electronic music culture is what fuels the inspiration.

The second release in the exit planet earth compilation series features four exclusive tracks designed for space travel, including the first ever collaboration between Keith Tucker of Aux 88 and Carl Finlow. The resulting track ‘Coder’ is an electro masterpiece. The more established electro pairing of Jensen Interceptor and Assembler Code hit heavy with ‘Red Cell’ while Voitmann brings the bass to space with ‘Subtopia’. The record is rounded off beautifully by Cignol with Detroit infused string sections and harmonies on his ‘51D’ track.

In The Blue

Tokyo-based producer Sachi Kobayashi composed "Imaginary Trip" as a travelogue: in her words, "[to] help listeners to imagine various aspects of Japan". Primarily recorded at her home studio, Kobayashi leisurely but exactingly dis- and re-assembles minute sounds; magnifying dust motes drifting by a sun-lit window. "Imaginary Trip" also highlights minimal (catchy) melodies (<40 BPM) and surgical sound design, making the album as much a hallucinatory inner journey as a terrestrial one - which the b-side highlights with alternate versions of each track: a dream within a dream.
