8 Blind Rats

Lowland Flies is a progressive style of rockband from Kuopio Finland. Idea for that kind of music style became from getting bored to play and listen metal music which mix is ”blocked”. From The Tower Valley is first release of the band and it includes 5 songs. Personnel in the record is:

Tuomo Susilampi - Guitars, Vocals & Keyboards
Tuula Susilampi - Bass & Vocals
Jari Hietala - Drums

Tuomo and Jari have shared same band together about 5 years before Lowland Flies but both have  played near 2-decades.
Tuula and Tuomo are a couple and Tuula’s experience of playing is just home jamming except few jam projects before Lowland Flies

This is the sixth track from the Increments album. It is the only track which is principally in “odd” time signatures (7/4 and 5/4 for the most part) and again combines heavy and lighter elements.

Free Album!!

Urge

This is something slightly different for me but a style I have been listening to and working with recently. The genre it most closely resembles is post rock but it is also influenced by soundtracks and progressive styles.

The main melodies were written in about 10 minutes at a pretty dark time and the rest was built from there.
