For many years, music has had to follow so many rules. So many unspoken guidelines, 'rules of thumb' that must apply for your music to be "culturally acceptable." Well, Extremely Experimental breaks those rules. Forever pushing the limit, Extremely Experimental throws most music theory- and the many rules that come with it- right out the window. 
Some say it is a type of music that "is so bad, it's good." 
Extremely Experimental also pushes the limits of taboo subjects- creating a ruse by risky and highly controversial subject matter in some of the songs. Some theorize there is a deeper meaning behind some of the illogical lyrical subject matter, with truly artistic values- others disregard it as musical nonsense. 
Professor John Bingledordon of Whales remarks;
 "When I first heard the music, I wasn't sure what to make of it... I can appreciate the fusion of genres. From the opening, it's very dissonant and unpleasing to the ears- but slowly the pieces do become more acceptable, forever migrating towards more musical sense. In fact, by the end I almost found myself highly engrossed, involved, and tuned in- which is odd given this is the polar opposite of the feel the piece began in. Which leads me to believe Extremely Experimental  is utilizing the tools of music theory much more so then they claim to be."
Almost as confusing as the music itself is what genre to classify the music as- while Extremely Experimental officially identifies as experimental, one can pick up on traces of different genre elements in each piece of music. 
Paul Hussledorf, a musicologist with years of experience, states the following;  "This is the music of 2030 or beyond. Way ahead of it's time. Eventually we are going to become bored of hearing the same thing. It's all going to be done, it's all been done - so what's left to do? Start mashing all that together. Start breaking the rules. I think it's genius."
The fact that Extremely Experimental is dabbling in multiple genres, with songs ranging far from the normal standards, leaves listeners confused about what exactly they are trying to say or accomplish. Regardless of one's opinion though, there is no arguing Extremely Experimental is doing what no one else is- which is open to one's interpretation of if that is a good thing, or perhaps a very bad thing.
