Relentless North Carolina Thrash Metal Since 2016.  
 
North Carolina based OUTLIAR bring their version of high energy Bay Area inspired thrash metal (Testament, Death Angel, Exodus), along with drawing influence from the death metal (Obituary, Cannibal Corpse) and modern metal (Pantera, Lamb of God) genres which is sure to please most any fan of aggressive music. 
 
Originally formed in Apex in the early 2000’s, the solidified lineup and defined sound was achieved during 2016.  At that point in time, OUTLIAR set out to begin growing its’ die-hard fanbase by playing regional live shows showcasing their high energy performances.  As momentum continued to grow, OUTLIAR realized it was time to record and release their debut, “Taste the Blood”.  
 
By the summer of 2018, OUTLIAR officially released "Taste the Blood", which was engineered by Jamie King (Between The Buried And Me).  The album features two video singles, directed by Justin Reich (Black Label Society, Rex Brown, Ace Frehley) for the songs "Where It Ends' and "Pillars".  The album also showcases notable guest guitar solos by Steve Smyth (One Machine, Forbidden, Nevermore, Testament) and Petri Kuusisto (Carnal Forge), as well as amazing violin play by Lyris Hung (Hung, Indigo Girls) which can be found on the instrumental track “…As We Watch the Bodies Burn”. 
 
After the successful release of the album, OUTLIAR provided live support for many notable national recording artists such as Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation, Obituary, Power Trip, Revocation, Exmortus, Psycroptic, Gorod, Insomnium, Dark Tranquillity, Amorphis, Moonspell, Omnium Gatherum, Gatecreeper, Incite and Oceans of Slumber.
 
In early 2020, Outliar released an EP entitled “Thrashing the Vault”, yet again enlisting the services of Jamie King this time boasting a blistering guitar solo from none other than legendary guitarist James Murphy (Death, Obituary, Testament, Disincarnate).

Presently, OUTLIAR fans should look forward to the band continuing to write new material, which continues to build upon the style and strength of their previous releases.  OUTLIAR plans on returning to the studio to record and release a new full-length album, expected to be released during 2022.

Omaha, NE is about as small of a city as you can get. The music scene is very tight niched, everyone knows everyone. Scott Armstrong (Fornever/Hollowed) and Dan Cinotto (Downshift/Narcotic Self) were no exception. After years of playing shows together in their respective bands, they felt it was time to work together and bring something new to the scene. They decided to work under the moniker of ‘Black On High’, which refers to the last page of The Dresden Codex (Mayan book of prophecies), which depicts the destruction of Earth by a great flood. The Codex had been damaged throughout time, and this page had been referred to as ‘Black Earth’, ‘Black Sky’, and ‘Black on High’. They decided on ‘Black on High’ because it represented a turning point in human evolution, and the music that was being written was a turning point for them.

With the release of 2010’s ‘The First Seal’ (which is available on most major music websites, you should go get it…), Black on High’s distinctive throw back sound to the early nineties had started to take shape. The band cited Alice In Chains, Kyuss, and Rush as major influences. Not long after that, B.O.H. went back into the studio and recorded ‘With Regards’. A six song EP recorded at SubStar studios in Omaha, NE. Working with producer Ben Sieff, the band took the new music in a different direction from where ‘The First Seal’ left off. Once recording was finished, the band found themselves going in separate directions. The EP was shelved for the time being, with only one song leaking out. The track ‘Translucence’ (which you can hear on the main page of this site) has been the only song to surface from those recording sessions. Dan and Scott decided to reform the band with a different direction.

In late 2010, Brent Johnson (Hello From Ghost Valley) was added on drums, and James Doke (Disposable Heroes) on bass. The music has been taken down a much different path than the previous two records. While the band’s love for early 90’s heavy music still comes through, new influences has started mold the BOH sound. The new music has taken a much darker, heavier sound than the BOH music of the past. Influences like Mastodon, Lamb of God, and Black Label Society have begun to shine through.

Early 2012 will find the band in pre production for another record that will surely please metal fans all over the world. The yet untitled record is due out by mid-summer 2012. Stay tuned…

Havens End is a unique four piece genre rock band with a very cohesive and hooky melodic sound, inspiring stage show, and an intriguing history. Dan Pfeil and Nathan Brack are the founders of the group and established the entity in early 2010. Dan met Nathan in 2001 through the then bustling local music scene in Phoenix Arizona. They were in different projects at the time, but soon crossed paths. They jammed together for a few sessions and wouldn’t meet up again until years later. The time arrived when each of their current projects were not working out as planned. Nathan later joined Dan’s group called One Last Peace as their second guitar player. Soon after the band reformed with a new singer and Nathan as the sole guitar player. The band was renamed and thus Havens End was born. With Frank Lanham as the frontman, Dan Pfeil on drums, Nathan Brack on guitars, and Paul Williams on bass this group is unstoppable.

Their musical influences originate from all genres and styles of music. The band has just finished releasing their self titled sophomore album, which hit online stores such as iTunes, Amazon, and Spotify. Havens End is making a noticeable impact on the local scene and is now also expanding beyond that into new and unfamiliar territory fast.

These seasoned musicians have played with national acts such as, Evans Blue, Fair to Midland, Karnivool, In This Moment, Flaw, and Digital Summer to name a few. Havens End has had airplay on numerous internet stations and reputable services such as AMPZ Edge, XM radio, and have had radio play and interviews on top radio stations such as 98 KUPD in Phoenix Arizona. They have also appeared and have had press in numerous magazines such as NEW TIMES, No Cover Magazine, and more.

Band Biography

THE SELF TITLED are one of the UK's most prolific new Rock & Metal bands
on the scene. 

The band formed in 2003 and has played non-stop with an impressive array of live shows already on its CV. They have played with bands such as Kobra And The Lotus (Gene Simmons Band), Breed 77, Forever Never, Zico Chain and Sarah Jezebel Deva, One Machine, Def Con One, just to name a few.

Add to this some of the biggest festivals and Bike Rallies in Europe such as Bloodstock 2014 where the band headlined the New Blood Stage and The Bulldog Bash 25th Anniversary (UK Aug 2011) who they played alongside Status Quo, The Damned and Gun.The Self Titled has now played The Bulldog Bash 4 times including the 30th Anniversary in 2016.

They performed at MAG Farmyard Party and played main support at the BMF Biker Festival in September 2012. They have also played at the world famous Underworld in Camden Town Dec 2012, supporting the mighty Skreamer and was asked to perform at The World Zombie Day, London Oct 2013.

The Self Titled recorded their debut album DEFACED at Anchor baby Studios, Kent UK with producer Dan Lucas (Jairus) in Jan/Feb 2012. The anticipated album is now on sale on various digital downloading sites such as Amazon and iTunes.

They also released in the Autumn of 2014 their EP single which consists of two tracks "Airlock" and War Of Attrition" in Nov 2014 

The band has just released a new 4 track EP named "Bears And Bulls" in June 2019
