ABOUT:
East Recordings is an underground house music label established in April 2015.

The label is the imprint of Brick Lane Radio, a radio station and blog set-up in 2013 by an east London DJ collective and headed up by Pablo del Monte. Its sound lies on the deep-house-techhouse-accessible techno spectrum. But rather than being restricted to specific genres East Recordings seeks two common elements in the music it signs: tight grooves and musicality. So whether it be the proper house vibes of Pablo del Monte or Thallulah, William Medagli & Jose Maria's contemporary take on techno dance floor-orientated beats and musicianship are at the forefront of the qualities you will hear.

Alongside a roster of more established artists East Recordings prides itself at unearthing new artists.  And in an era of throw-away releases the label takes its time A&Ring quality music and sticks to a monthly release schedule, ensuring high standards in terms of both output and artist liaison.   East Recordings has also invested in building relationships with the key stores, especially Traxsource and Juno, over time ensuring that releases receive support from these platforms.  

This coupled with the quality of the music has meant that the last twenty East Recordings releases have all charted with numerous top 30s and a handful of top 10s along the way. Our most successful releases to-date are Pablo del Monte's 'House to House' which spent months in the charts after being supported heavily by Marco Carola at his Music On night, and Granite State's 'Tuku' which got picked up on by Mark Knight and was played in episode 367 of his Toolroom Radio Show on Spotify.

CLUB NIGHT: In 2016 we set up the third arm that makes up the triangle of our collective: our party Throw It Up. We've ran a number of successful and ever-increasingly attended events at venues in east London such as Trapeze, 93 Feet East, the Bedroom Bar and Shoreditch Platform, as well as secret parties in venues such as a printer's warehouse under a railway arch off Brick Lane. We get to feature East Recordings artists at these parties and, as such, the sound reflects that of the label, as well as booking guest 'name' DJs whose style fits ours.
