Since 2006, Nebulo has been shaping electronic structures with mobile geometries. In his latest releases for Le Cabanon Records and Conditional, the French composer deepened his work on dynamics by modelling abrupt trajectories where silence clashed with synthetic saturations. For Borders, Nebulo chose to exploit the static temporality of repeated confinements to approach an encompassing musical universe.

Composition made for the Venice Biennale of Architecture 2023, together with an interview for Radio Utopia, News from the world (French Pavilion).
The insect vibrational signals we can hear were recorded in different parts of Slovenia during the summers of 2020-2023 and show a fraction of the rich diversity of sounds that emanate from different meadow vibroscapes.

Interview was published in the special issue of " L'Architecture d'Aujourd'hui"

Ride were formed in Oxford in 1988 by four friends rooted in
art-school aesthetics who combined 60s guitar-pop sensibilities
with avalanches of noise and driving rhythms. It was a
recalibration of indie-rock that would come to be defined as
shoegazing, music that was both experimental and pop,
powerful and fragile. Preceded by a run of three critically-
acclaimed EPs, their 1990 debut album Nowhere is regarded
as one of the greatest debuts of the ‘90s.

"Each track on this release is an expression of the heightened tension that came with existing in a room that operated as a work office, creative space, and bedroom between 2021 and 2023 mostly during the more confined days of the pandemic. Although the tracks seem in constant flux, there is some form of repetition in each that caused discomfort that was worked through, or they were created in a time where one day bled into the next and the last thing I wanted was to be in that room.

This text is coming across more depressing than I intended. On a more positive note, this release became an opportunity to question my aversion to repetition and to analyze how much the trap of perfectionism still played into any decision made during the process of its creation. I have walked away from this with a better sense of when a piece of music is complete as well as how to actively avoid perfectionistic pitfalls. I hope you enjoy it."
