My buddy Sqwrl invited me to play a set at San Francyclo bike shop for a regular third Thursday gig called "The Wiggle Sessions." I was inspired to pull together some of the more upbeat house tracks I've been digging lately that felt, well, kinda wiggly.

Born and raised in California, now-Hawaii-based ezwhip remembers with vivid clarity the exact moment he first heard the opening notes of Erasure’s “Who Needs Love Like That?,” launching a now 35-year-plus love affair with electronic music. His pioneering early 90s radio show Chillspace explored the nascent genre of ambient house, but it was turn-of-the-century Burning Man that dumped rocket fuel onto a burgeoning obsession with the broken beat. He gravitates towards high-vibe music with a visceral feel - grimy and grindy, bassy and bouncy. His mixes reflect a passion for a variety of styles and genres, weaving fresh sounds with properly-cellared bangers to inspire both old heads and new generations of bass-chasing, booty-shaking beat freaks.
