Recorded set for Foundation FM x Manila Community Radio takeover. 

While creating the set, I had Coltrane’s “Both Directions At Once” philosophy in mind: starting a sentence in the middle and going to its beginning and ending at the same time.

Opened and ended with two songs that aren’t only favorites from such different eras and places, but also share a striking similarity. The first song’s (1961)’s sullen tone has the hopeless vulnerability heard all throughout the last song (2003). A beginning of an end, an end of a beginning; or an “either-or" because of its emotional likeness coming from "the middle." 

In this set: old and new favorites spanning from the 50's to now. Some jazz, OPM samples, soul, alternative, riding a rolling train of breaks, jungle, and liquid.
