Biography:

Developing a love for music through London’s pirate radio waves and the energy of the city’s rave scene, FD’s journey has always been one driven by feeling. Those early days spent recording mix tapes and chasing the emotion of certain records naturally led towards DJing and soon after the need to create his own music followed.

Rooted in honesty and expression, FD’s work reflects a constant search for balance: simple yet remarkable, distinctive yet accessible. His music draws from a deep well of influences, from soul, jazz and hip hop to the moments in drum & bass history that inspire him. Always looking to distil ideas down to their purest form, he aims to create pieces that resonate in the club and beyond, to stand the test of time as art.

As a DJ, FD’s sets are journeys built from a long-standing love and understanding of the music, showcasing the full spectrum of drum & bass, in all it’s depth, emotion and versatility, revealing how its tempo can carry a world of ideas and influences. Having played at some of the scene’s most respected clubs and festivals around the world, he continues to represent his own vision and belief in what makes this music truly special.
