Fittingly, the eighth release on the EI8HT imprint comes from label co-founder, DJ, producer, radio host, and potty mouthed Bristolian, Eats Everything.  And just to make his mark on the occasion, he fires out eight tracks of funky, bottom end rumbling, club bangers.

‘8 Cubed’ assembles a brimming pack of modern and utilitarian, high tempo techno jams.  Produced over the last few months, in between a busy touring schedule that also encompasses EI8HT and Edible label showcases, Eats Everything has carved out a collection of cuts that embodies his current techno leanings, and a perfect showcase for the sound of the EI8HT label, run alongside Andres Campo.

Each one a serious pumper, the EP also features a guest appearance from Chi-town house royalty, Felix Da Housecat, whose WhatsApp voice notes to Dan Pearce AKA Eats Everything, become the perfect springboard for a vocal contribution to the hard, jackin’ energy of ‘Voicenote’.

Continuing an already bustling 2020, that has seen him release on Relief Records and Glasgow Underground, Italian-talent Adapter makes an exciting debut on Hot Creations this November with Skate Dancer. The two-track EP includes a special remix from contemporary house heavyweight, Patrick Topping.

Speaking on the inspiration behind the release, Adapter describes how he is “a big fan of the eighties, so Skate Dancer is a mix of bass, vocals and rhythms that take me back to that era.”

We’re graced with that feel-good eighties touch from the offset, as groovy female vocals shimmer amidst a pumping, 4x4 bassline on Skate Dancer. Sampling Doug Willis’ seminal 2000 track of the same name, the disco-inspired cut strikes the perfect balance between age-old funk rhythm and modern house swing, before Patrick Topping’s remix takes on a darker, techno-leaning tone with hard-hitting kick-hat combos and punchy, no-nonsense percussion.

Naples-based Adapter has experienced a meteoric rise in a career that has spanned multiple years. Releases on some of the genre’s most well-loved labels, including Riva Starr’s Snatch! Records and Green Velvet’s Relief, have cemented his status as one of the scene’s true heavy-hitters. Label-head of Trick and a mainstay in modern electronic music, Patrick Topping’s accolades speak for themselves. A Mixmag cover star, DJ Mag ‘Best of British’ Award Winner as well as three-time DJ Award winner, the well-established Geordie’s latest venture is the label and party series, Trick. With sold-out showcases across the UK last year, alongside releases from the likes of Skream and Alex Virgo, there seems to be no end in sight for the Newcastle-born talent.

F.R.E.D. AKA (Derek Mc Manus) started his DJing career in 2006 learning his trade on the decks of Trinity Rooms Nightclub initially grabbing opportunities to experiment during 'breaks' from his day job there as a storeperson. It wasn't long before Derek's DJing talents were spotted and his day job was quickly made into a night job as he was made a resident at the club. Fast-track forward 5 years and Derek has come a long way supporting the likes of Deadmau5, Dave Seaman, Japanese Popstars, James Zabiela Marco V, Mauro Picotto, Ferry Corsten, Eric Prydz, Sander Van Doorn, Dave Clarke, Pyscatron, Felix Da Housecat, Leeroy (Prodigy), and also played back to back with Eddie Halliwell in Trinity Rooms while finding time to play in the PlanetLove Festival twice. After DJing success he began running his own clubnight Sunday Sessions which hosted top Irish acts such as Ian O'Donovan and Psycatron whilst giving local acts opportunity to play as he had been given.

Derek was also a resident and promoter at one of Ireland's top clubnights BUNGA BUNGA playing with the likes of Mark Knight, Luigi Rocca and Ant Brooks where his style has moved on from his early progressive years to what is now bouncy  to chunky Tech House and Techno. He has also been hosted on the main stage at the Aquaphonic Festival in the Czech Republic played at Electric Picinic, Egg London And Oxegen Festival. 

These days Derek is full time in the studio. Producing his forward driving Techno sound. The future is bright for F.R.E.D.'S productions and releases with track support from 

Marco Carola, Ritchie Hawtin, Maceo Plex, Marcel Dettman, John Digweed, Laurent Garnier, Solomun, Ilario Alicante, Danny Taneglia, Nic Fanciuli, Chris Lake, Paco Osuna, Paul Okenfold, Roger sanchez, Claptone and many more.
