“I wrote the majority of this album during lockdowns in 2020 and 2021, and to me it represents a utopian vision of future dancefloors. That time allowed for some reflection and I decided I wanted to change direction from the typically noir aesthetics of cyberpunk (as it manifests both in the music and in my visual practice) into something more aspirational. We drew upon the aesthetics of ancient civilizations and imagined an alternate world for this album to live in. This song 'What's Her Name' in particular came later in the album's life cycle after I had written most of the other records already, but I felt it fits in with the rest of the material nicely.”

"Take Me Away" is a return to my roots, blending elements of future bass with my own unique spin. The track features three distinct drops, each exploring a different sonic avenue. It begins with a racing digital arpeggiator, the spark that set everything in motion. From there, it builds into a heavier future riddim drop before transitioning into a mid-tempo house beat, bringing all the elements together.

What I love most about this song is its refusal to be confined to a single genre. it’s an immersive escape, embodying the feeling of being 'taken away' to another world. When it was created, I envisioned soaring through space toward a futuristic utopia, completely lost in an electronic journey. Music has an incredible way of transporting us to a blissful subjective world, and I’m beyond grateful to be a vessel for this artform. I hope you enjoy the experience as much as I did creating it! 🚀
