its just me ,myself & I on a journey through sound

Progressive Rock/Metal band Esprit d'Escalier (France) returns with Thresholds, a captivating 25-minute prequel EP that lays the foundations for a forthcoming album due in 2025. With much more assertive and poignant vocals, but also more coherent writing and composition than on the band's previous releases, this can clearly be called an EP of maturity for the French quartet! Already well established on their local underground scene, the band is looking forward to exporting to Europe and defending this EP on stage throughout the 2024 season, thanks in particular to the Hyper Tension Prod collective recently founded with other emerging bands from the French Prog scene (Synapse, Altesia, Hemeroplan).

Singer/songwriter/live looper. Might be found in other acts such as Nebo or Def Row.

Hi, I am a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer. My favorite genres of music are atmospheric alternative rock, postpunk, and grassroots rock, which are some of the influences I grew up with.

With each song I write, I try to put together the best possible song that I can, basing my lyrics on essential personal experience with my spirituality and all of the difficult times that I’ve gone through in my life which have been resolved with my faith. I try not to be preachy, as that would simply turn listeners away. Instead, I try to pour out my heart and soul, and I hope this is reflected in my music.

I use the following equipment to record my songs using Ableton Live as my DAW:
- Fender Stratocaster with ‘50s, ’60’s PUPs in the neck and middle positions and a hot 'Texas Special' PUP in the bridge.
- Ernie Ball “Music Man” Armada humbucker electric guitar.
- Fender and Rickenbacker electric bass guitars.
- Taylor acoustic 6 and 12-string guitars.
- Arturia Key Lab Essential 61 keyboard.
- For all my drums/percussion, I use an AKAI MPD-218 USB MIDI pad controller with Toontracks Superior Drummer VST.
- Amps: Mesa Engineering and VOX.
- Microphone: Shure
- Effects Pedals: Fulltone overdrive; Jekyll and Hyde distortion; TC Electronics Delay and Reverb; Wazoo Wah and Cry Baby Deluxe Wah; Fulltone Vibe, and Fulltone Fat Booster (no longer manufactured). I use other pedals, but these are the ones I use the most.

This is just a little bit about myself as an introduction, and if you ever happen to listen to any of my music, I appreciate it very much because I know there are so many options out there, so, thank you so much for taking the time to listen to mine.
