Szjerdene's voice is both earthly in its soul and celestial in its purity: soothingly familiar, and yet unmistakably distinct. 

Her self-released debut EP ‘Patchwork EP’ dropped in 2012. After a live video performance caught the ear of Simon Green, alias Bonobo, hot on its heels followed a collaboration on his fifth studio album ‘The North Borders’. Despite embarking on an exhaustive world tour that took in 175 shows in 30 countries over the course of 18 months, she quickly amassed a second body of work, and by late 2014 she was back in the studio once again.

The result was her second EP ‘Paragon’, presented in its blissful entirety in 2015. Featuring three singles co¬-written and produced by Lapalux, it comprised six original tracks, each sequentially unveiling its own related tale of love, loss and self¬ discovery. Szjerdene’s spellbindingly pure voice and stirring melodies collide seamlessly throughout, their signature frameworks resulting in a sublime, immersive collection.

Following the release of singles ‘Restart’ and ‘Rain’ in 2019, Szjerdene bares her soul with the launch of her third solo EP ‘Trace’. Dappled in dreamy swathes of string instrumentation and Szjerdene’s innate capability to write with her heart on her sleeve, the release of her third EP ‘Trace’ is her most personal work to date – an unapologetic statement of artistic intent.

Regarded upon his 2006 arrival as a promising beatmaker looming in the shadows of J Dilla, Madlib, waterfalls and Dabrye, Steven Ellison -- known as Flying Lotus -- nullified all comparisons only two years later with Los Angeles. On that album, his first of five for the Warp label, Ellison distilled a uniquely crisp, spasmodic, and heady sound with elements of hip-hop, avant-garde jazz, IDM, and dubstep. While the abovementioned producers fueled Ellison, he had also been excited as a youngster by the '90s West Coast rap classics that combined programming and live instrumentation. His sound continued to develop as he put his own twist on the approach, recording with a crop of jazz musicians including the indispensable likes of bassist Thundercat and strings master Miguel Atwood-Ferguson. This process began with the turbulent 2010 set Cosmogramma and peaked in terms of acclaim in 2014 with You're Dead!, which crashed the Top 20 of the Billboard 200 and spawned the Kendrick Lamar collaboration "Never Catch Me," a Grammy nominee for Best Dance Recording. Ellison devoted a few years to various forms of film work and the operation of his revered Brainfeeder label, and returned in 2019 with Flamagra, his second consecutive album to top Billboard's Dance/Electronic chart.

Currently living in Bristol, where he searches and finds, till he stumbles in new inspirations and crowds for his personal development and music. C. Schwarz, since a young age has absorbed inspiration from his mum, mainly ranging through all old school rock. He was offered his first Walkman at only 3 years of age. In the pre-grunge era, already on his fullness 7 years of age, during the hype of the movement “punks are not dead”. In Coimbra (Portugal) where he was born, the punk genre reveals as his first musical expression. The waking up for the electronic music side, came trough albums and artists like Atari Teenage Riot, Jim Masters, Jeff Mills or Homework from Daft Punk.

Mainly delighted for the live performances, his most active hobby, his mum offered to him his first mixer (Rodec MX-10) and turntables (Technics 1200 SL) at only 14 years of age. It was his first step and kick-off in Coimbra’s region, performing as DJ Black (99-08) before he started the duo denominated by Black N Decker, covering genres that went from Techno, Electro and Drumtech, any that would suit to close the dance floor with strong and noisy beats.

Unconditional music lover, embraces the production in different styles and genres but his affirmation in music, has and always will be the Techno, as his Alter ego making him an apologist of Dave Clarke vision for music, that techno should always be techno and understand it like so and, as well, Andrew Wowk that once said “..dont get me wrong, I am not hating on tech house, but it is not techno. Just like a banana is not an apple or red is not green”, C. Schwarz position in this genre couldn’t be more clear.

The origin of C. Schwarz name happened basically for his transition from DJing to Live at performance and for his passion for production. Schwarz, in respect of his all time nickname (Black) for his personal preference for the industrial and raw beats so identified in Berlin underground music scene. But, also because, nothing happens by chance.
