Arash & Quasar also film interesting programs from their travels and tours called DIG LOTO, where the main characters go searching for rare old records with their best friend Vestax Handy Trax, and share musical treasures with people on their YouTube channel.

“Arash & Quasar was born out of pure pleasure, juggling pieces of different sounds. Basically, we take interesting records with oriental old forgotten music, find some really catchy elements and feel that something new and beautiful can come out of it if we put our own arrangements, synthesizers and drum machines on it. Perhaps this can be compared with how to make a collage of different clippings from a magazine. Only instead of pictures it's sounds.

LFSR835 is a project that balances the algorithmic precision of complex rhythmic structures with organic, atmospheric modulations. A deep fusion of IDM, Acid, and Drum’n’Bass, inspired by genre pioneers such as Autechre, µ-Ziq, Squarepusher, Aphex Twin, and Plaid.

Created in Tbilisi in 2022 during a period of deep exploration of modular synthesis and analog synthesizers, LFSR835 has evolved from a project focused on distortion and chaotic structures into a more refined and purposeful sound. The use of a linear feedback shift register in rhythmic patterns creates a sense of controlled randomness, while harmonies based on Fibonacci numbers give the music a natural elegance.

A journey from the dark and intense personal dramas of NIIIIDT (crafted primarily on a modular synthesizer), through an exploration of consciousness, virtual reality, and self-identity in a changing world (ROPE, produced almost entirely on a Digitone), to the lighter, more energetic, and structured sound of LUCID (centered around the BIA module, WIP), symbolizing the transition from inner chaos to a state of mental harmony.

💄 SHORT BIO 💄

Since his teens, Cobeia's been an avid listener collecting music on Vinyl, CDs, MDs, Tapes & Digital. Growing up in Geneva in a multicultural family & environment, he enjoyed the vibrant 90s local squats and Swiss alternative scenes, studied filmmaking in London from 96 to 99 before living between Geneva and Berlin 

Among other trips, he travelled extensively throughout Eastern and Southern Europe, North & East Africa, as well as Southeast Asia, further expanding his music appreciation. ✨

He's always been curious about life and various art forms and has been passionately exploring underground culture ever since. Since 2001, Cobeia's been a dedicated DJ, record collector, cultural actor, music curator & organiser.
