Italian composer and pianist Luca Longobardi represents the generation of classically trained musicians who incorporate the language of contemporary electronic music into their pieces, which are furthermore strongly connected to the multimedia arts. Born in 1976, Longobardi studied classical music in Italy and New York and went on to earn his doctorate in digital audio restoration in Rome in 2011. His works reveal a strong interaction between classical and contemporary music. The experience he has gained as a theatre musician has increased his interest in the relationship between sounds and spectacle; he has composed music for ballets and films and accompanied installations and experimental art productions (Atelier de Lumières - Paris, Carrières de Lumières - Baux-de-Provence, Kunstkraftwerk - Leipzig). At his multimedia performances and in his recordings, strongly experimental electronic music meets pure, ethereal and simple-seeming piano playing that nevertheless relays deep emotions.

My name is Lorenzo Giambra. "Elemonics" is my electronic plan: in it there is research into Lo-fi sounds; through the use of a reel to reel tape recorder, I look for an organicity of the sound to burst out interesting resonances. About arrangement I don't emphasize the various parts of tracks with the result that listening is an endless journey.
"Stratospheres" represents a lot of this, where everything starts from a very old and deteriorated sample, but at the same time it talks about pioneering innovation.
I have been influenced by the different musical kinds, from experimental rock to jazz, passing through electronic music in all its evolution, from real classic kind to the best club music.
In my small studio I've got different musical instruments, as percussions and drum machines, and classic synth as Dx.
We'll soon have new upgrade continuing to experiment and combining sounds coming from different. 


Sono Lorenzo Giambra, Elemonics è il mio progetto elettronico dove c’è una ricerca di suoni di tipo LO-fi tramite l’utilizzo di un registratore a bobina cerco l’organicità stessa del suono per fare esplodere risonanze interessanti. Dal punto di vista dell’arrangiamento cerco di non dare troppa enfasi alle varie fasi in modo da far risultare l’ascolto un viaggio perpetuo. Stratosphere    rappresenta molto di tutto questo dove tutto nasce da un campione molto vecchio e deteriorato, anche se allo stesso tempo parla di innovazione pionieristica. 
Ho avuto influenze da vari generi musicali, dal rock sperimentale  al jazz passando per l’elettronica in tutto il suo evolversi dalle forme più classiche fino alla club music di qualità.Nel mio piccolo studio ci sono strumenti di vario tipo da percussioni etniche a drum machine e synth classici come il DX, presto ci saranno nuovi upgrade per continuare a sperimentare e unire suoni di diversa provenienza.
