Happy New Year! We’re kicking off this new year in the WUMPiest way possible, with a collaborative EP by two of our collective’s founding fathers, @Metasine & @Stanmusik. 

These two have had their hands in many WUMP projects since our inception 3 years ago, as solo artists releasing EPs and singles, as contributors to our compilation albums, and even collaborating with other WUMP artists. This EP, however, is the first time these two have worked with one another, and the music baby that is MetaStan Vol. 1 will surely turn some heads. Hope you’re ready..

It’s always exciting when multi-instrumentalists work together to create bass music, but these two take it to a really special level by incorporating Stan’s violin and piano as well as Metasine’s saxophone into the EP. Don’t be fooled, though. It’s not all sunshine and butterflies in the world of MetaStan, demonstrated by some killer, mind-melting sections with commanding percussive rhythms and heavy sub-bass. They take us all over the spectrum with these 3 tracks, showcasing their versatility and overflowing originality as they offer something legitimately unique to begin the year. Metasine & Stan really went full gusto here, setting the tone right off the bat with the cinematic, epic intro to “Whoa,” and ending with the climactic “Faceplant.”
