Sounds by Passive/Aggressive is a Danish Free Music Archive that focuses on experimental/underground music released in Denmark on microlabels/no label.

Passive/Aggressive is an open music forum and blog based in Copenhagen, periodically releasing zines.

We support any initiative that renews the way people listen to, and talk and write about music in Denmark that makes it easier to navigate and listen to even supposedly challenging music (open, free, Danish and international) – and any ideology serving the democratization of the attention and distribution of music. We do this primarily by promoting the increasingly talented and (often wrongfully) neglected underground scene of Copenhagen and Denmark – and we do this strictly on a nonprofit basis.

Mirco Buchwitz mag’s abwechslungsreich. Auf Kabarett- und Comedybühnen fühlt er sich ebenso zuhause wie in der Literatur oder als Produzent von Hörspielen und Musik.

Im Laufe der Zeit war er zu Gast im Quatsch Comedy Club, der Lach- und Schiess-Gesellschaft oder auf der Taipeh Bookfair. Seine Hörspiele liefen u. a. im DeutschlandRadio und im Fernsehen war er beim »WDR Poetry Slam« oder bei »Slam Tour mit Kuttner« zu sehen.

Sein Debüt-Roman »Nachtleben« erschien im Aufbau Verlag, »Arschbacken zusammenkneifen, Prinzessin!« bei Rowohlt und zuvor veröffentlichte zeter & mordio die Hörbuch CDs »lieber woanders« und »bis dahin«. Kabarettpreise hat er auch gewonnen: Zum einen den »Kabarett Kaktus« sowie den schwergewichtigen »Obernburger Mühlstein.« Satte 14 Kilo!

Derzeit nimmt Buchwitz eine kreative Auszeit, weil ihm der aktuelle Literaturbetrieb und die Kabarettszene mächtig auf den Sack gehen. Mächtig.

Das Trio WNU besteht seit März 2018 und kommt aus Hannover. Wilson Novitzki an der Gitarre, Nils Schumacher am E-Bass und Uli Hoffmann am Schlagzeug präsentieren bei ihren Auftritten eine aberwitzige Spielart der freien Improvisation. Die Musik, die dabei herauskommt, kennt keinerlei stilistische Berührungsängste und ist gleichzeitig große Kunst. Progressive Klangkapriolen, die zeitweise an den frühen Zappa oder Soft Machine erinnern, treffen auf explosive Free Jazz- Sequenzen die von elegischen Flächen abgelöst werden. Doch irgendwo lauert schon die nächste Noise-Attacke. Und manchmal erklingt von weiter Ferne her sogar der Blues in Form einer einsamen Mundharmonika.

Anika a.k.a Annika Henderson (D/GB) is a hybrid artist. The former journalist made a name for herself in the electronic music scene, with her experimental sound collages, confrontational texts and unique way of performing live solo. Her breakthrough came in 2010 with the release of the cult-hit, experimental LP, ‚Anika‘ (Stones Throw /Invada), which she recorded with Geoff Barrow and band Beak> in Bristol, a wholey unplanned affair, which began Anika's journey into the music, film, poetry and arts scenes. Her most known song remains ‚I Go To Sleep‘, a cover of ‚The Kinks‘ 1965 classic.

Three traveling musicians from Italy and Germany, stranded in Lisbon. Packed with their jazz, World Music and Musicology Studies they set out for new adventures, searching different perspectives, rhythms and melodies, broadening their horizon. Their concerts are excursions to the most remote parts of Europe, Latin America and Afrika. The travelogues get mixed up and so the music: Klezmer with Funk, Italian folklore with African rhythms, Chanson with Batucada. The three musicians sing in every language they find appropriate and transform the public into talented singing birds. A musical expedition with Elena La Conte (flute, voice & percussion), Chiara Pellegrini (guitar, voice & percussion) and Kristina Van de Sand (violin, voice & percussion).

Experimenting with gear and genres for self-contained soundtracks and commissioned work such as music for fashion runways Mona Steinwidder and Lorin Strohm with their main project Me Succeeds generated a lot of material and tracks not focussing on releasing it up till now: Steinwidder Strohm Sound Therapies is not about reaching a goal it is about being present in the progress. Not about expectations or productivity but about diving into meditation.
