Wenn Schon Denn Schon @ Zaubermühle Festival 2025 - A Journey from Groove to Light

The “Ark of the Covenant” came to life in my imagination as I was reading the book of Exodus. During the time when Moses led the people out of Egypt, God instructed them to build a special tent called the Tabernacle, where the priests would meet with Him. Inside this tent, they placed something extremely significant: the Ark of the Covenant, hidden behind a massive curtain.
God repeatedly commands in the Bible that no image or sculpture should be made to represent Him because He cannot be confined to any figure or form. Unlike the other nations that worshipped various gods through idols made of wood or stone, the Israelites were forbidden from creating any representation of God. Instead, God gave them this instruction:
Exodus 20:4
"You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth."
During battles, the Ark was carried ahead of the Israelite armies as a divine weapon. In the Battle of Jericho (Joshua 6), the Ark played a pivotal role: priests carried it around the city, and its presence caused the city’s walls to collapse.
Thus, the Ark was far more than a mere artifact; it was God’s throne on Earth. 
Inspired by this profound biblical account, I wanted to compose a song that captures God’s greatness. I aimed to create a piece that not only communicates His power but also conveys the deep emotional connection that reflects God’s boundless love.

Endless gratitude to the Havana Nights family for moving mountains to set everything up so quickly. What followed was one of the most collective releases of joy I’ve ever witnessed. This mix is a memory of that morning -  raw, radiant, and unforgettable.
