I produce a European country album. It is very political and inspired by pollution and the fire of Notre Dame. The working title of the album: "The Bells of Notre Dame!" - Working Labels welcome.

This is a song I composed in 1996 and presented regularly for a few years in and around Christchurch in my performances. There is also a video of this song shot at CATV studios in Christchurch and braodcast on the local CTV station which I will at some later date convert from VHS do digital and plaster up on YouTube 
It's lyrical content is inspired by the works of Frank Herbert and the Dune series, particularly the concept of what he terms 'prescience' or in parapsychological terminology 'pre-cognition' (the psychical sense of knowing absolutely what is happening in the immediate future by the accessing of our 'sixth sense'). 

Technical Notes

I simply took the sequenced backing from my MT-100 sequencer sound module and recorded it onto digital audio tape, then added a couple of vocal tracks, there are supposed to be three part echoing choruses answering at the end 'There Is A Time', maybe I'll put those in on the next version...

History

I gave it freely and was included on the Rainbow Trust CD produced to raise money for the Children's Hospital in Christchurch in 1999.
This version I think was remastered by Arnie Van Bussel of Nightshift Studios when put into the compilation of South Island artists represented on the album...
