The duo also just released a killer remix on Bobby.’s Pleasure Club label alongside remixes from Z@p, Maryné and fabric resident Harry McCanna.

Arno & Cap deliver the first edition of our new B2B series, culminating in more than two hours of rousing sound.

The two are familiar faces in the minimal clubbing scene and have both DJed in many well-known clubs over the past decade. It was an obvious choice to bring the two together for a night of clubbing, as their effortless chemistry and easy-going attitude propagated in the entire room. They get music, and they get digging even more.

The mix was recorded in early September '21 at our new venue and captures the energy and excitement of the dance floor, the experience, and the dancers of that night. It pumps from the get-go and is sure to thaw you out throughout the chilly month of February. 

Roaming the genres with a light-hearted attitude and a clear vision of fun, the set is full of unexpected twists to throttling bass, spiraling synths, cheeky drums and break corners that are bursting with passion, vibrancy, and magic. 

No less can be said about their podcast, which drifts unconventionally through styles, eras, tempos, and moods. Sehr lustig!

"Devotion is the main aim—to try to encourage commitment in people." The fabric resident and Houghton festival founder discusses his love of the crowd, DJing and more.

Craig Richards, arguably one of UK dance music's most respected DJs, is normally averse to the spotlight. But the multi-hyphenate artist and fabric resident has played the London institution every Saturday for nearly two decades, DJing alongside fellow household names like Ricardo Villalobos and Nicolas Lutz. Over the years, Richards has profoundly shaped the canon that's defined the space and its programming week in and week out.

He’s keenly attuned to other DJs and the flow of a night, and he's not indebted to one particular style or genre. In a Resident Advisor feature from 2019, Ray Philp described his sound as "intergalactic space metal" that goes far beyond techno, house or electro, instead interplaying classics with deep, headsy tunes that he tirelessly seeks out every week.

In this interview with RA's European deputy editor Carlos Hawthorn, Richards talks about what makes a good record, and the DJ's role as a bridge between the past and present. He also discusses his endeavours beyond the booth—most notably the idyllic festival he started in 2017, Houghton, which is set in the English countryside—and his passion for painting and cross-disciplinary creativity. Born in Tokyo but living in London since 2012, Junki's been an avid record collector from an early-age. Few have bags as deep, something shown by this mix, which happens to be an hour section of his set from Dimensions 2022. It's testament to the timeless sound he's cultivated that you'd never tell.

"The first time I played for Resolute at H0l0 I had a rare and overwhelming feeling of being at home. Ever since then they have remained very close to my heart, and so I am overjoyed to be joining them for my transatlantic bookings moving forward. 

To celebrate this new chapter of our journey together, I have made a contribution to their podcast series. This live recording is from Houghton 2024, on a sunny Saturday afternoon at the Tantrum stage, with all my closest people in the front row.
