London based duo Dorsia are the brainchild and production assault of  long-time friends Adam Reid and Andy Watson. Their debut EP Ghana (out on new London based label Loft Records)  is a fresh slice of synth driven  house and techno that has focused our attention on to the pair who are set to warm up Room One next Friday night. With a second release forthcoming on Chasing Unicorns imminently, Dorsia are setting themselves up for what promises to be a quick rise to notoriety

The car accelerated quickly forward as it moved between gears. On either side he could see faces flashing by as the pace grew faster and faster. It was dark in the distance, soon the crowds would cease and he would be left with only the other racers for company.

He could hear the engine roaring beneath him, it was strained and mighty.

Smoke billowed from exhausts, then it all went dark as they hit the end of the tunnel and returned to the night.

Guava holds no punches with a new EP for Faux Poly, this one is a bass focussed affair with rising synths, frenetic energy and a sense of immeasurable tension. This will do damage in the clubs. Be warned.

2023 has been a great year for Bradley Hutchings aka Guava. Alongside many successful dance singles and remixes, his self-released debut album ‘Out Of Nowhere’ is a gorgeous blend of indie electronica that steps away from his typical club focussed productions. 2024, however, sees Guava move back towards the dancefloor with his latest EP Afterglow, which drops on Faux Poly on March 8th. Since rooting himself in Berlin, Guava has drawn inspiration from across the different facets of the city, something that is strongly reflected in this release.

‘140 Drums’ is an essential DJ club tool, a chopped stuttering break and hoover bass roll through a restrained but surprisingly heavy hitting finale to the EP.

"Putting together this EP has been a joy for me. All of the tracks are little bookmarks for the past year. I live in Berlin, and it has had an immersive effect on my music. From the grey and cold winters, trudging down a windy street in Warschauer Straße, to the hot summer in Neukolln, where the air is thick and warm, and dance music echoes off the city buildings.

This series has seen us team up with Pirate Studios to spotlight artists and challenge them to a quick fire mix showcasing as many blends, transitions, tips and tricks as possible in a short time.

Papa Nugs is up next, a DJ who is killing at the moment having just come back from an international tour. Arguably one of the busiest out there, his roots lie in Jungle but more recently he has switched things up, drawing for more of a stable driven 4/4 approach with sporadic, intermittent breaks chucked in there for equal measure.

A keen record collector with a pride and love for digging makes his selections unique and interesting. 

This mix and interview was recorded at Pirate Studios in Dalston and demonstrates a no holds barred approach in the booth as it bounces between styles and sounds with grace and finesse. This one is a whole lot of fun and is sure to keep the head nodding.

The dynamic and genre-spanning Irish producer and DJ @orla_cd has announced a new EP, Moonlight Crush, out on 25th April via our label, fabric Originals.

“A Howl’s A Howl” a single that was inspired by the historic and now-extinct native wolves in the UK and Ireland, and their prominence in Irish Mythology. The melodies build like a growl, haunting the track, a primal instinct keeping the listener moving.


The Moonlight Crush EP was created functionally to be experienced in a club or rave where Or:la feels most at home. The heavy rhythmic synths and organs are reminiscent of losing yourself on the dancefloor, the scent of smoke machines and sweat is thick in the air, lit only by the hint of a full moon.

As a multifaceted producer, DJ, and label owner, Or:la’s artistic journey has taken her from the tranquil and remote landscapes of Inch Island in Ireland to the vibrant nightlife scenes of some of the world’s most iconic venues.

Now based in Liverpool, Orlagh Dooley has become an integral part to the clubbing scene as a promoter and queer community builder pouring her heart and soul back into the place she found her own musical voice. Known for her diverse showcasing of genres, across UK bass, tribal house, deep house, breakbeat, acid, and 90’s techno, Or:la’s ability to draw connections between the subtleties of these genres is what sets her apart from the rest.

Matching his signature melodic futurism with enduring club music structures, Pev brings the Pulse series to a natural conclusion with the Pulse Phase EP. On this third release he underlines the broader approach to tempos and styles he’s taken across this latest period of his output, soon to be coalesced into a new live set. 

If there’s been a nostalgic streak detectable amongst the crisp modernism of the Pulse series, it comes through clearer than ever in the looped-up house jack and starry-eyed techno synth hooks of ‘Pulse IX’. ‘Pulse TEN’ pares back for a lean soundsystem workout driven by a strafing arp and fractured drums while ‘Pulse XI’ revisits 90s bleep techno with a deep, dubby intention. ‘Pulse XII’ completes the picture capturing the skeletal pressure of 2-step at its most slender and deadly.

There’s never a sense of over-familiarity — the exacting angles of the drums and alien hue of the synths maintain Pev’s distinctive sound first and foremost. But this series has also been an opportunity to hear some of his musical DNA more explicitly than before, cast in universal rave motifs propelled by the unrelenting pursuit of new forms for the dance.

After a brief hiatus we're back with the 9th Tape by the one they call Otik - 3024 recording artist extraordinaire responsible for the magnificent Cosmosis album as well as the recent EP Cloud Runner.

3024: Otik, can you describe your mix in a single sentence?

"An ethereal and drum heavy journey between 160 and 170bpm, which includes old and new inspirations for my recent ‘Cloud Runner’ EP on 3024."

3024: What DJ inspires you at the moment / has inspired you throughout the years and why?

"I’ve actually talked about this recently, but I’ve always been in awe of Midland’s sets. The way he can read a crowd and create heart stopping moments on the spot with ease has really inspired me to become a better DJ."

3024: What are you working on / what have you got forthcoming?

"I’m currently finishing up two records for the same label, I can’t say who yet but I’m really happy with how they sound. The music focuses a bit more on the dance floor, 4x4 rhythms and sits within the 135-140pm range, which I haven’t experimented with for a while."
