Klangkarussell (aka Tobias Rieser and Adrian Held) are currently soaking the contemporary club sphere with their plethora of metropolitan club jams fresh from releasing their debut album, Netzwerk on Universal Music back in July. The album, which follows up last year’s summer fix Sonnentanz, gently demonstrates the Austrian duo's penchant for dance floor cuts  featuring a veritable mix of electro, house and drum & bass to boot. It's the kind of album that will no doubt be the sonic calling card for a lot of young party goers for the months to follow, landing them in the same crop as the likes of Duke Dumont, Kidnap Kid and Route 94.

So, as they prepare to join us next Friday when they team up with Jesse Rose's Play It Down banner for a special live show, the duo have kindly answered a few probing questions and fired over a brand new and exclusive mix.

This week it's an epic mix from Task crossing the genres, just how we like it. He delighted us with his last mix back in 2009 and he's done it again with his 'Turn my world around' mix which is already getting props from lots of DJ's. Task weaves between classic hip hop from Gang Starr, Cypress Hill and Public Enemy, plus Block Rockin Beats from the Chemical Brothers, Zinc and The Prodigy. DJ Food looks back once again for our 25th Anniversary slot taking 'Free Comic Book Day' (this Saturday, May 4th) as his theme to present tracks that feature references to comic book characters. The Marvel and DC worlds of Superman, Batman and Spiderman feature heavily with everyone from Snoop Dogg to Cliff Richard revealing their passion for Caped Crusaders and Wall Crawlers. But the more obscure feature too with three nods to Judge Dredd, two for Flash Gordon and even Elton John singing the praises of Dan Dare. DJ Food will have a piece of artwork in a new exhibition called Image Duplicator - looking at the original comic artists that Lichtenstein copied for his most famous work - opening on May 16th at Orbital Comics in London.
