Support from Nick Warren, AFFKT, Anthony Pappa, Just Her, Audio Junkies, and of course form Dave Seaman and Steve Parry

Jonathan Cowan is an OG of the scene Stateside, particularly in his native Florida, where he gave a certain Dave Seaman his first US residency back in 1998, and to this day remains a kingpin of that week in March when the dance music cognoscenti descend upon Miami.

With these two transatlantic amigos and like-minded souls having been (ahem) brothers in rhythm for nigh on three decades now, it was only right & proper that some of JC’s studio excursions would find their way to Selador. And so it was. The achingly beautiful ‘Alden’s Groove’ was first, debuting on our Sweet Sixteenth Showcase in 2022, and then followed by ‘Swaddles’ which graced our Seventeenth Instalment in 2023. At the time we described it as “tip top electronic headfuckery”, and some two years on, we ain’t changed our minds.

So naturally we’re pleased as proverbial punch to now unveil a brand-new double-header from JC.

‘Slater’ is first up, as clever as it is insanely catchy. It wears several 90s influences proudly on its sleeve (think ‘French Kiss’ meets Desert’s seminal ‘Moods’ and you’re part way there), while wrapping everything up in a warm 2025 blanket of sound. Listen now, thank us slater ;)

On the flipside, ‘Sawyer’ kicks off with a pure 80s Chicago bassline riding that Windy City wave, before Moroder-esque wonktastic riffage joins the fray and takes hold of the dance floor. So high indeed.

Tried and tested by both Messrs Seaman & Parry, these two meticulously crafted gems have been staples of their sets for the past few months but don’t just take our word for it, judge for yourselves.

Natural da cidade de Chapecó, extremo oeste de Santa Catarina, Isadora é amante assídua da música desde muito cedo. Sua caminhada começou quando tinha apenas 8 anos, cantando em festivais de música nativista. Ao longo de sua trajetória, passou por diversas vertentes, percorrendo pelo samba raiz, mpb e reggae.
No ano de 2019, Isadora teve seu contato lancinante com a música eletrônica em um dos clubs mais underground do Oeste de Santa Catarina, Lake Club. Lá, ela mergulhou de cabeça na viagem musical. Começou a mixar em 2020 e, desde então, vem se entregando de corpo e alma ao gênero, viajando pelas linhas baixas do Organic House e pelo bom e velho Progressive House.

Born in the city of Chapecó, in the extreme west of Santa Catarina, Isadora has been an assiduous lover of music since a very early age. Her walk began when she was just 8 years old, singing at nativist music festivals. Throughout her trajectory, she went through several aspects, covering samba root, mpb and reggae.
In 2019, Isadora had her harrowing contact with electronic music in one of the most underground clubs in western Santa Catarina, Lake Club. There, she plunged headlong into the musical journey. She started mixing in 2020 and since then has been giving herself body and soul to the genre, traveling through the low lines of Organic House and the good old Progressive House.

En este mix elegí canciones de organic house que contienen piezas orquestales y sinfónicas, dejando de lado los sonidos robóticos modernos que actualmente predominan en las producciones de los sellos mas importantes de la industria de la musica house.

Lo que siempre me agrado de este tipo de musica  es el sonido de orquesta o de banda sonora de películas mezclada con groove dando como resultado un viaje emotivo flotante y por sobre todo alegre. Intenté impregnar el set con eso. Ojala que te guste!

GENESIS Vol. 0003: The Warmth of the Beginning (For Flor & Dani)
The GENESIS series is about capturing beginnings, and what beginning is more fundamental than love.

This set is an excerpt from my opening set for the wedding of my dear friends Flor and Dani, two very special people who vibrate with the same passion for music.

I sought to create a soundtrack for their exact moment: the warmth of the gathering, the love in the air, and the union of everyone present. Every track and every mix is designed to sound in unison, like a single collective heartbeat, preparing the energy for everything that comes after.

This is the music that accompanied their "Yes."

This gig was very special too, because i meet my partner of life, Abril.
