Bereits vor über 20 Jahren veröffentlichte Cassy ihre erste Platte. Daraufhin folgte eine Karriere, die ihresgleichen sucht. Cassy hat in Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, London, New York und Los Angeles gelebt, im legendären Plattenladen Hard Wax gearbeitet und Residencies in berühmten Clubs wie Panorama Bar, Trouw, Output, DC-10 für Circo Loco, Rex Club, Amnesia für Cocoon und Pacha mit ihrer eigenen Nacht im Pachacha Room gehalten – und noch vieles mehr.

Anja Schneider ist ebenfalls eine wahre Ikone der Szene, die bereits seit den 90er-Jahren aktiv und erfolgreich ist. 2021 wurde sie von der Berlin Music Commission für ihren außergewöhnlichen Einfluss auf die Musikszene ausgezeichnet. Neben ihren energiegeladenen DJ-Sets ist Anja Schneider auch für ihre innovativen Produktionen und ihr Engagement in der Förderung neuer Talente bekannt. Zudem gründete und betrieb sie das weltweit bekannte Label Mobilee Records bis 2017, bevor sie im selben Jahr ihr neues Label Sous Music ins Leben rief.

Bis heute Pflegen die beiden DJs eine innige Freundschaft. Mit ihrer Eventreihe PuMp, die bereits unter anderem im Watergate stattfand, ist Anja Schneider inzwischen auch regelmäßig in der Rakete Nürnberg zu Gast. Beim letzten Dayrave entstand ein wundervolles, knapp siebenstündiges Back2Back-Set der beiden. Viel Spaß mit dieser Spezialausgabe des Jeden Tag ein Set-Podcasts!

More than 20 years ago, Cassy released her first record. What followed was a career unlike any other. She has lived in Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, London, New York, and Los Angeles, worked at the legendary record store Hard Wax, and held residencies at renowned clubs such as Panorama Bar, Trouw, Output, DC-10 for Circo Loco, Rex Club, Amnesia for Cocoon, and Pacha, where she hosted her own night in the Pachacha Room—and much more.

Anja Schneider is also a true icon of the scene, having been active and successful since the 1990s. In 2021, she was honored by the Berlin Music Commission for her exceptional influence on the music scene. In addition to her energetic DJ sets, Anja Schneider is known for her innovative productions and dedication to supporting emerging talent. She also founded and ran the globally renowned label Mobilee Records until 2017, before launching her new label Sous Music later that same year.

To this day, the two DJs share a close friendship. With her event series PuMp, which has already taken place at venues like Watergate, Anja Schneider is now also a regular guest at Rakete Nürnberg. What began with a set on Garry Klein’s pandemic livestream has grown into residencies at two pillars of Munich’s queer nightlife: the monthly party DEEP and Garry Klein at Rote Sonne. Besides that, Erhyc has performed his tempting sound at clubs like Blitz, LEGAL, Goldener Reiter and Haus 33 in Nuremberg.

Lange hat es gedauert, aber nun gibt es einen Termin für die Wiedereröffnung der Distillery (@distillery-leipzig) – und ihr erfahrt sie zuerst bei uns. In unserem Hey-Hey-Podcast gibt ”Tille“-Betreiber Steffen Kache ein paar Einblicke in die neue Location und den schwierigen Weg zum Reopening.

Ende Mai 2023 endete die zweite Distillery-Ära an der Kurt-Eisner-Straße. Relativ schnell war klar: Es soll weitergehen an einer neuen Interim-Location – gar nicht weit entfernt, am Rand der Halle 7 auf der Alten Messe. Doch aus dem ursprünglich halben Jahr sind es am Ende mehr als zwei Jahre geworden. Und auch der Interimsgedanke scheint erstmal obsolet, denn ein möglicher Umzug der Distillery in das Gleisdreieck verzögert sich noch um ein mehr als ein Jahrzehnt (ja, richtig gelesen).

Doch nun gibt es Licht am Horizont: Es gibt einen Reopening-Termin, neue Ideen und Möglichkeiten und einiges zu erzählen. Für diese besondere Ausgabe unseres Hey-Hey-Podcasts traf sich unser frohfroh-Host Sebastian mit Falk von Sound of Leipzig (@sndoflpzg). Er begleitet die Leipziger Clubszene – und speziell die Distillery – seit vielen Jahren mit seinen Social-Media-Kanälen mit und hat das Interview mit Steffen Kache auf die Spur gebracht.
