In 2010 my son and I suffered the sudden loss of his mother, my wife- my soulmate, my whole life, Nicola.... a most remarkable, talented, warm, and gorgeous woman who was central to both our lives. And even though the universe called time on our little family brutally early, all focus shifted to my son and to a life beyond working as a full-time DJ.                                .                       12 long years went by before I began to listen to music actively again. The trauma from losing Nic so suddenly was extreme and resulted in my lifelong connection with music being broken completely. This is the first mix recorded after that long break, in Bali in 2022, and I thought I would share it with you all as a tribute to Nicola.                                                                                 RIP Nic..... You are missed every day, and will always be loved, cherished, and remembered with joy. Xo

Hope you had a happy 4th of July weekend! I spent some of mine doing something pretty silly. I was going to make another volume of “Don’t Stop The Yacht Rock”, but after scouring here and beyond for new adult oriented rock, I realized I just didn’t have enough material to make it work the effort. As I was looking, though, I realized I had more than enough material to start a new series. 

It’s a lot remixes and originals of 90s alternative rock and other tracks that often got aired along side them—music I heard on KROQ, KCRW, and Live 105, back in the olden days.
