JC, full name Justin Clardy, is a recording artist and songwriter from Gardena, California. Over the last two years, JC has been building a reputation for himself on the underground scene via his debut and follow up mixtapes, “Tweed Coats and Top Hats” (2014) and “Correctangular” (2015) totaling 15,000+ plays worldwide. JC’s harnesses a style that highlights his straightforward lyricism over a diverse range of production. Still, his flow resonates with a sound that is distinctly west coast.

In addition to sustaining his music career, JC is a Ph.D candidate in Political Philosophy and is a Professor of Philosophy. He views rap as an alternative medium to allows him the creative free space to expand on the narratives that have influenced his philosophical worldview—mostly about women, dating, relationships, and social justice. He also goes by the name ‘Urfavfilosopher’.
