Factor:Primo began with 4 separate Evansville musicians that came from different backgrounds and musical styles. They all, however, had one similar thought: they wanted something new. They wanted something that Evansville did not currently have, but desperately needed. Unfortunately, none of these musicians had ever played together before. Until one (rather nerve-racking) day. Monte Skelton had to quickly put together a small group of musicians for an event. After a little time, it just so happened that Chasen and Patrick were available. Shortly before the performance, they got together and came up with a mix of old and new-school songs that they all loved to listen to. The performance was an absolute blast! They had to keep this up. After some jam sessions and a short amount of time, Ed, Chasen, Monte, and Patrick settled on a great list of tunes and finally, a band name. They are able to join their instruments with some digital elements to create a very unique sound that will definitely make you think there are more than 4 people on stage.


Jon Knox is an American session drummer, producer, beatmaker and composer. 

His diverse playing experience has led him to work amongst widely acclaimed artists and members of such groups including Adam Again, Rage Against the Machine, White Heart, Blind Melon, No Doubt, Audio Adrenaline, Wooten Brothers, John Elefante, Great White, Crystal Lewis, Steve Cropper, Mandisa of American Idol, Carman, DC Talk, Tyrone Wells, The Bus Boys, Ray Parker Jr., Otis Day and many others.

Jon is currently the drummer for the 'Prog-Tronic' rock outfit, Future User which is composed of Rage Against the Machine bassist, Tim Commerford along with Jordan Tarlow on keys and super-producer Brendan O'Brien handling guitars.

His musical talents have been nominated for Grammy and Dove awards and he has toured and appeared on numerous television and radio broadcasts that have spanned the globe. 

You can also find him involved in making beats, scoring, playing live and producing projects, In addition, he composes and produces music for music library companies. His compositions are in these genres of music: Rock, Alternative, Hip Hop, Pop, R&B, Dance and Electronica.

"Don't call me anything, call me everything" is a common response from the DJ,Producer, Recording Artist Blaqstarr. Not to limit his potential, the artist is constantly evolving exploring new sounds, talents and audiences. Starting DJing at just 14 years old at house parties in Baltimore, the young man quickly found success as his first production, baltimore club hit "Tote It" at 16 spread through house parties,clubs mixtapes and local radio play. The song was later sampled by rapper Lil Wayne, which is indicative of the world reach Blaqstarr's music soon attained. Soon blaqstarr's music was played heavily on local radio. Since then, he's worked and toured with Diplo and MIA, collaborated with Win Win, Steve Aoki, Talib Kweli,Common and others. As a signee to Interscope, he released his first major artist project "Divine" EP. Which Rolling Stones described as "Blaqstarr comes off like a Prince-style auteur who spends more time in dark alleys than champagne rooms. His gauzily processed production shrouds falsetto come ons and playalistic mumblings in a skeevy haze, perfect for torpid, booming tracks that deploy anything from layered girl-chirps to distorted guitars to a pilfered Cameo beat in service of massaging his psychedelic freak." 

 The world has been waiting for more from the multitalented artist and will get what they've been asking for. Fresh off the release The Blaq Files via Mad Decent/Jeffrees, and music video for "Dear Diamond" ft Common, Blaqstarr is releasing a new EP "Trinity" featuring slowed down baltimore club beats laced with Blaqstarrs signature voice, finding itself both hypnotizing and revitalizing. There's much more in store for Blaqstarr. As DJ, Producer or recording artist, he stretches the imagination, painting pictures people have never seen before but always yearned for. It's only the beginning for this young veteran. Welcome.
