"A Woman Scorned" is the second track on Jordan's sixth album and it continues the story which began with the character, Johnny, in the song "Johnny and the Sea." In the aftermath of Johnny's tragic end, his widow is torn between a life of inescapable hardship or the endless stillness of death. The latter seems like her only chance for peace, but can she leave her children to fend for themselves in a cold, indifferent world?
