These are challenging times in the middle east. As the situation in Gaza gets worse daily, we are committed to doing what we can to end this conflict, and provide aid to the residents of Gaza, as well as all Palestinians in the west bank.

All proceeds from Confused Machines' digital sales will go directly to Physicians For Human Rights – Israel (PHRI) www.phr.org.il, which continues its medical work and humanitarian aid in the West Bank despite the difficult circumstances.

Since October 2023, PHRI has doubled its activity in the West Bank and is sending two weekly mobile clinic visits to help communities that are cut off from medical treatment due to the severe wave of settler and military violence, movement restrictions, and the financial crisis in the West Bank.

PHRI is currently unable to operate in Gaza due to restrictions by the Israeli authorities, and have been barred from delivering aid to the strip. PHRI is constantly working to resume these activities and will do so as soon as the circumstances allow.

We urge for an immediate ceasefire, the return of all hostages, and a peaceful future for all inhabitants of this troubled land.

We’re excited to announce the 18th release on Marguerite Records: Body, the striking new album by Déandrah.

Body took shape during a strange year, a time when the fabric of existence seemed to fray and shift—welcoming the cries of new beginnings even as others marked inevitable ends. The wails of arrival and departure harmonised in a single breath, tracing the fragile rhythm and fleeting significance of being. The album became my compass through this liminal space, an exploration of the body's frailty and the mind's enduring strength—a map of transitions charted through sound.

The track titles—Bladder, Larynx, Spleen, Trachea, Vertebra, Index Finger, Shank, Sphincter—assemble a fragmented anatomy, each piece a quiet witness to the mechanics of existence. These parts, uncelebrated and often unnoticed, bear the weight of our survival, tethering us to life’s ceaseless flow. Together, they chart the tension between fragility and resilience, control and surrender, function and decay—a somatic blueprint that mirrors the tenuous balance of our inner and outer worlds.

Each sound, from spring reverbs struck like percussion to broken mixers and unravelling tape loops, became part of this mosaic, chaotic yet intentional. The mournful cries of a dog longing for its absent companion added haunting textures, their rawness woven into the vocals and ambient layers. Roaring hums and banshee-like screams from analogue synths and filterbanks carried an emotional weight that felt both visceral and cathartic.

This is Body: a collection of disjointed yet connected moments. A reflection of how we are shaped not only by what we endure but also by what we release—and what we cling to. Finite and mortal, we carry burdens and histories that time erodes, even as the mind, unbound, reaches for something eternal. Ideas born in fading moments outlive their source, colliding with the noise of the present to become something both rooted and ever-changing.

It's in the nature of things, that working in a recordshop, trains the knowledge of music. After all, access to a seemingly never-ending pool of new releases, new editions and purchased collections forms the ideal basis for continually developing and refining one's own taste in music. If you listen and look at Princess P., who lives in Bern, at her work behind the turntables, it quickly becomes clear that she has enjoyed an excellent (listening) education: for years she worked for Plattfon Records in Basel, one of the pearls of swiss recordstores, and helped shape the store's musical agenda in buying and selling.

Accordingly, she selects records in every context with aplomb, surprise and flexibility, which bear witness to her genre-independent expertise: whether at zurich's club institution Zukunft, Elysia in Basel or during the Montreux Jazz Festival. Aware of the musical foundations of the past, but always firmly anchored in the here and now and eagerly awaiting what comes next. her DJ sets are based on savoury house with a touch of indie and techno. And, as anyone with an adventurous disposition knows, the detour is often rewarded with a more beautiful view off the beaten track.
Since 2020 Princess P runs together with Cio from Spezialmaterial a monthly sheduled Residency on Mutant Radio Tiblisi. They mostly play Music atside the Dancefloor.

coast. His musical craft revolves around sculpting whimsical and

Oltrefuturo’s music has found its way onto labels like Multi Culti,
Trule, Warning, Duro, and more, while also receiving airplay on

His music is an updated version of the 80’s electronic experiments, a crossover between the paranoia of the current clubbing scene and the roots of electronic music. A journey into an underground world, filled by nostalgic impulses and modern concepts.
Now he lurks in the lowest depths of the Italian Underground.

St Celfer, ft. Christin Call

“Seattleʼs St Celfer writes immersive electronic songs that encompass both haunting beauty & wild experimentalism.” – BANDCAMP

St Celfer, of Korean and American origin, currently lives between São Paulo and Seattle, the latter living off/on since 1990. A fan of Seattle grunge, was, once upon a time, in the 00’s New York scene performing, among other places, at CBGB’s, The Kitchen, Tonic, The Tank, Remote Lounge, Galapagos Art Space, Sputnik, and Stinger Club.  

During the isolation of the pandemic, St Celfer developed an innovative and sophisticated electronic instrument – a “gambiarra,” in Brasilian Portuguese – named Step4D™. This unpredictable instrument is designed to be played and heard live, in real time, and works in a way that bypasses step by step, rational thinking. Every unique performance embraces chaos and forms songs from turmoil.

St Celfer has twice been named New & Notable on BANDCAMP (2021 & 2022), and is the featured wave track for Infrasonica issue #7, ‘Voicing Abstraction’. Much of his work can also be found on his YouTube channel.

C. Asa Call is an assemblage artist living in Seattle and making work primarily at the cross-section of dance, film, installation, and poetry. She received her BA in Painting and Art History from Wichita State University, co-founded Coriolis Dance and was co-Artistic Director for 14 years. She is also the founder of The Shed, a performance installation space that facilitates residencies for artists with complex practices.
